Yep guilty as charged. If only I had more iPads to play with more apps at once!
You’d be the first Multitasking Master Manipulator
Not sure you would survive the dopamine rush but you can try
Just moved house and now have a big enough room for multiple people with iPads all hooked up to my monitors - only problem is I left all my friends back up North lol. I’m so anti social I really need more iPads now lol
Just wait for the neural network to be fully implemented and problem solved
PS: Can I be your friend? Stipulation, all iPads, apps and beer are your treat🍺🍺🍺🍺
In my dream society all iPads are free and never heat up while using Korg apps!
Nice dream😴
If iPads were free it wouldn’t matter much if they combust...you simply replicate as many as you want with your 3D printer
By the way are youenjoying this Electribe Waves app?
Extras are (overwhelmingly) just as you suppose: I must be able to bring in ME saying oooh baby, simple as that.
My first impressions are favourable. I’m not sure I will use it alone much, but with GR16 and Patterning 2 all rolled in AB3 - having fun!
I do like it’s sound engine and the way it handles copying / pasting bars. I do like that it doesn’t mind using seperate pages. Love GR16, but it’s insistence on being true to the hardware one screen thing is annoying at times imo.
Long term though it needs better ways to share what you do with it (unless I’ve missed something).
Live jamming is it’s forte in my opinion.
So I spent last night fiddling, testing the water, made a track using just electribe....tonight I used blocs wave to make some vocal loops...and sent them to launchpad.
Loaded electribe and Launchpad in aum, used midi clock from launchpad for sync so all playback was controlled from launchpad hardware.
Did one take recording....
Here it is

Thanks for your thorough take on it, think I’ll hold off for now since I just splurged the other day on the most excellent Synthscaper
It is...it’s evergreen drug music
Great track @AndyPlankton ! So, if I recall, you too are a Gadget user? How do you like working in EWave as opposed to Gadget?
So, yeah, trying not to want this but...I think I’ve made it through the whole thread. Still I ask:
1) how do Gadget users like the workflow?
2) does the synth compare favorably to Gadget synths?
3) is it the workflow you all love or the sound?
4) knowing me I would want to get as much done inside the walls as possible. Will I be frustrated using EWave?
I love it, however read 4
For me it kicks their butt for what it does. Lisbon and Miami are the two closest in spirit but mere simple toys next to this not as simple toy. Awesome fun but likely no Serum. In the end if people dont like EDM influence there are likely tons of other places to spend their money.
Both! For me the sound takes work to get to but the workflow makes it pleasurable. Once I have a sound that I like I know that I can get lots of interesting variation that build upon that sound without breaking it but rather expand on it.
I would be. Hosting it within AUM along with FAC transient, perforator, maxima, Turnado into BM3 is super dreamy.
Check out my tutorial video series to see for yourself. In a lot of ways the Electribe has superior workflow but there are limitations as well. Hopefully both apps will continue to develop taking the best qualities of each and integrating them together. I have several song demos done in Gadget up now and I will be putting up an Electribe song demo in my next video.
There are only a few upsides to spending an entire evening fixing a washing machine:
1) Clean clothes.
2) The satisfaction of a job well done.
3) Buying yourself KEW as a reward for all the money you saved by not calling a repairman.
The last one is my favorite.
I have two 12,9 pros, iPhone and an iPad Air. The reason I tell you, besides bragging
, is: never sell an iPad. Whatever you get for it, won’t cover the pleasure of having a multiple i-device setup.
I meant to sell my old pro when I got the 2017 version, but after trying them together, that thought was gone forever.
Super handy if you record any how-to type videos as well.
Yeah, I haven’t thought of that. Thanx.
Thanks @AudioGus and @LucidMusicInc
I should just buy it now, I know I’m going to eventually.
Same. But I have to at least put up some token resistance for my self respect.
It’s always better to wait a few weeks for the bugs to be sorted out as well. Luckily in this case they are minimal and it’s on sale.
I suddenly see how this is going to play out. Korg isn’t going to offer sample import. If @echoopera and @AndyPlankton can coax such interesting sounds out of the standard EDM junk that comes with the app, who wouldn’t pay $4.99 for a Chillwave Beats soundpack or Detroit Tekno or Cali Vibez?
And I’m all for it.
This has been my sekrit strategic guess from minute one but I didn't want to give it a voice in this world...seems inevitable and obvious, but....it's Korg. We'll see.....
Didn’t think of that... well if one can transpose these packs to Key/Scale..
Ok. I think i love this app. I don’t know what it is, but i just find it a joy to use. Here’s tonight’s journey:
