iOS Audio Multichannel Audio Interface(s)
What are the available products you are aware of or using as far as an interface with the audio going into your iPad for recording and production?
Audio or Audio/MIDI options are welcome for discussion.
Prices also relevant I am thinking for readers.

Thinking about grabbing a UR44.
Any users here?
Also, I would love 4 audio and midi somehow for options.
Why we are here, what powered USB hub do you use or prefer and why when doing music?
I have Audiofuse, but I was close to getting iConnectAUDIO4+.
How come the change?
I AM ALSO WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS GOTTEN ANY OF THE BEHRINGER MIXERS THAT HAVE THE IOS COMPANION APP?
I sometimes wonder if the interface is more important of the mixer at this point with multiple hardware MacBook and iOS devices.
NOT ME
I use a UR22, does what it should... inputs are clean enough, headphone output is dogshit but that's to be expected. I can recommend it.
Also have Motu 16a
I'm ok with any powered hub as long as it powers my things and all comms are go. All my gear goes through transformers to negate ground loops. Silent with lot's of synths getting USB MIDI.
Got my eye on the market myself. You may want to consider a USB-C interface. Theres not many, but if apple is going that way, it may save you less dongels and better performance in the near future.
i used to have the UR22 and i can say the sound is very clean and high quality. Yamaha sound chips.
Oh, I recommend the Anker 10 Port 60W Data Hub, i used to have the elektron overhub and the anker blows that away.
Actually I have just bought a secondhand iconnectaudio 4 but I haven't received it yet.
I've used a Behringer XR18 mixer/audio interface and recorded multiple channels on my iPad for a couple of years now, never had a single problem. It can also work as a USB/MIDI interface, but only if you don't use MIDI to control the mixer itself, which I do.
ADAT + 2 more USBs
I have steinberg ur22 mkii and focusrite 6i6. Steinberg i dont really use much anymore, since i got 6i6 and need the inputs. Steinberg isnt that expensive that i would care much to sell it and perhaps i can get some us for it at some point. Both solid products. With focusrites you need to hook it to a computer to change things like direct monitoring on/off, which is idiotic, steinberg has a blend knob between dry/wet signal. I would just recommend looking for used and grabbing something from ur or scarlett series, rolands interfaces are good too. Cant go wrong with any of those really.
Ps. Focusrite has louder headphone out than steinberg, critically so when using semi open akg headphones. Steinberg can almost run them loud enough for loud listening and focusrites well, id like it to go a tiny bit louder(but thats mostly just with quiet sources), but it does the job good enough. Focusrite is still a lot quieter than mpc lives headphone out for example
good info thanks
UR 44 I think has onboard dsp which means you can use it’s built in fx with 0 cpu load on the iPad. Uses the DspMixFX app to control them.
Ironically a greatly time vid
