Ha! You can have 50% of my future hate mail. 😁

Someone once sent me this as hate mail:

You’re the great, gray man whose daughter licks
    Policemen’s buttons clean
You’re the man who squats behind the man
    Who works the soft machine!

I grew to love the song (and them actually, but that's another story...)

    You mean any Electribe model?

Yes I mean with these kind of tools.

  • Anyone know how to enter chords for the chord pads other than letting KEW figure it out based on previously entered notes? I feel stupid that I can’t find this in the manual.

  • Doh. Thank you.

You should check out Midera on YouTube. He’s the indisputable Groove-box king.

Sorry for the double post from another thread...but just wanted to post another track using the latest update:

FWIW, i think the Ableton Project export is borked...i get a lot of silent tracks in the folder when Bouncing tracks from the Pattern view...i haven’t tried from Song Mode though...ho hum...will carry on though 👊🏼™️

  • So any using this on an iPad mini 2? Wondering if I should grab it while 50% off..
I have owned nearly all the hardware electribes (2/Emx/etc)

Thanks much for this. I couldn't see this particular wood in the trees either...

    What’s happened to him?

  • "There's somethin' happenin' here,
What is is ain't exactly clear."

Black Friday comes but once a year so I'm taking the $10 discount and looking for myself at KEW. Otherwise, there won't be much to read here for the next year.

PS - I miss @Dawdles. He was great if you just agreed with anything he felt strongly (as a defensive strategy). Otherwise he'd go for the knives. Sad really. There's some very good knife fighters here being cool but ready to defend their turf.

Dawdles got himself banned. I don’t think his comments before that happened have been deleted they just don’t show his name or avatar.

    I'm assuming this was Dawdles:

I didn't have an issue with him, but I don't pick fights. But if his contributions are being erased it seems we are all being punished for his crimes.

  • RE: @Dawdles BeatMaker3 update made him crash. New update might have a fix. We might never know. AU MIDI is the new must have apparently. Or we kill this kitten!

  • PS I finally bought BM3 to get Ludwig Drums for $1 on Black Friday. Worth every penny for the drums alone. Now learning how to drive them from Soft Drummer will be instructive.

Few questions as follows about KEW
1.Sample Import only to the 8 drum pads - Does this mean only 8 samples or are there more than 1 Drum Bank?
2.MFX - Anyone have a list of effects available for MFX (i hope Decimate is in the MFX list)
3.Can more than one effect be added to MFX and Drum Pads?
4.Is the EQ section available for the 8 Drum pads?
5.Multi Stem export of Pattern and/or Chained Patterns?
    6.Export Patterns/Songs and/or Mixdown to Dropbox?
I looked in the manual but no info

    Thanks In advance

One drum bank (8 samples) per pattern. Each pattern can have whatever samples you want though.

2.MFX - Anyone have a list of effects available for MFX (i hope Decimate is in the MFX list)

Chorus, Ensemble, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Auto Pan, Pump, Slicer, Ring Mod, Grain Shifter, Short Delay, BPM Delay, Mod Delay, Room Reverb, Hall Reverb, Gate Reverb, Compressor, Master Compressor, Drive, Distortion, Valve Force, Decimator, EQ, Peaking EQ, LPF, HPF, BPF, Comb Filter, Talking Mod.

This is the same list as for each pad as well.

3.Can more than one effect be added to MFX and Drum Pads?

One effect per pad, One master FX for the whole mix.

4.Is the EQ section available for the 8 Drum pads?

    Only as an FX

5.Multi Stem export of Pattern and/or Chained Patterns?

Multi Stem export of either pattern or song.

    6.Export Patterns/Songs and/or Mixdown to Dropbox?

Export to the files app (oddly called iTunes File Sharing in the app). So, as long as your Dropbox is linked, then yes. Export / Import of banks as well.

I looked in the manual but no info

    Yeh, its kind of sparse.

  • Do the IAP wavetables bring anything new to the table?

  • @blakkaz said:

I think so. I consider them a welcome increase in requisite variety. There’s definitely some thought put into these new ones, and a large amount of them are immediately distinctive. Of course, some that aren’t so stand-out at first hearing might actually turn out to be precious when you put certain amounts of certain modulations through them, so don’t just go by what they sound like raw.

Okay, a minor thing, but there were two new pattern banks with patterns specifically made to accompany the two new packs. I don't know if those are accessible before purchasing them, but...

...the patterns can be overwritten. :smirk: I have 32 new blank patterns, lol.

Bought 1 bank and saw that a totally separate section was created for it (Solid).. makes you wonder how will they accommodate NEW Banks with the limited space?

Don't know, but with stem export, you can make loops, full tracks, etc, and mix 'em down in Auria to clear more patterns. I'm glad I got both packs. More wave tables, and 32 more pattern spaces once you clear them, lol.

Dopey isn't it? I'd almost pay an IAP for just a shit load more slots :)

Well, in a way, the $2.99/pack sales price is worth it for both wavetables and extra slots, lol. Got more than plenty to craft an album with.

Now, I may be an idiot here, but off-topic, is there a way to get triplet rhythms in the step sequencer?

    Yes

    Yes

hahahaha....Make sure you are in PTN mode and not Song mode (button to the left of the pattern name)
    Then click the pattern name.
There is an option for Beat Type...you can select triplets in there, when doing this some steps in the sequencer will now be inactive as they adjust for the Beat Type you select.
