  • @whiteout you may be talking to the same person at Moog. ;-) I think it is Geert either way. Or maybe multiple people have access to the MoogMusicInc profile on the forum here.

Anyway, its not a big deal but I'd love a scalable interface for the AUv3 as well, not sure how difficult that is...

  • Updated my 9.7 iPad and really glad that Samplewiz now works great!!! It used to just go to background before but now I’m loadong all sorts of synth Samples intobit qnd creating unending variations of presets from all my Sunth apps!

  • I think it's fixed my ICA4+ display lock charge issue, fingers crossed. Seems to be charging ok now even when the display goes to sleep. :)

  • Did anyone else lose all of their Turnado presets stored in iCloud Drive after updating?
Egoist, Unique, Cyclop didn't for me, only Turnado. Only issue I've experienced thus far with 12.1.3.

@brice and all, just wanted to get back to you to let you know that the Moog Model D auv3 looks correct for me too on AUM, AB, and Cubasis. Luckily Moog customer service is a class act! Impressed at their instant response!

Even with 12.1.3 there’s one app that still seems to perform worse for me on the 2018 Pro vs the 2017 Pro....the Roli Noise app. Anyone else experience this? Still more crackling then I used to get...

  • Hi Whiteout,

Minimoog Model D has been designed with a full screen performance in mind, as well as a beautiful skeuomorphic GUI. Handling arbitrary window sizes requires a GUI that can adapt to any possible dimension and still offer a consistent experience. This requires a totally different design approach, one that is often even not supported in most AU/VST plugins on desktops. The work required for this is very significant and we've been evaluating how to make this possible, but haven't found an acceptable solution yet.

    <3 your friends at Moog.

With the latest Minimoog Model D update, it should look correctly on the 2018 iPad Pros. Please include as much detail as you can in order for us to try to reproduce this.

    Hi @MoogMusicInc,

@GeertBevin told me that the Model D‘s UI is not scalable and that’s what it should look like on an iPad Pro 11“:

It’s not the biggest deal in the world, I love your apps and use them all the time, but if there’s something that could be done about that wasted space I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

EDIT: I just looked at the screenshots posted above again and realized that’s not a scaling problem but an old-app-version problem, I guess. Ehm, sorry!

Letting you all know that we indeed identified an oversight in our device detection logic that fails to handle the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" properly. We've fixed this and submitted an update to Apple both for release and beta testing. As soon as the beta testing is approved by Apple, we'll sent it to Brice so that he can verify the fix and then immediately release the update for everyone.

We truly apologize for dropping the ball on this and many thanks to @brice for helping us identifying the problem so quickly.

It is definitely NOT supposed to look like that....this is it on my Air 2 using this updated iOS

Gahhh....yeah, that looks a lot better.

Ha! Awesome. @brice I’ll check it on my 2018 pro when I get home tonight and let you know.

    Sounds good 👍🏼

Hey Man, looking good on my Pro 2018.
The black areas were there in the version before. Now the knobs and GUI are back. However you cannot scale the UI which is a bit stupid. But it works

    iOS 12.1.3
    AUM & NS2

Are you guys using the latest update to Model D (v1.1.5)? If not then you might want to avoid that update. That seems to be what has broken it on my end....maybe.

Thanks for the additional info <3 Well, I‘d rather see you invest your resources into new apps (or an Animoog AU :p ) than putting significant work into relatively minor annoyances.

  • If you are on iPhone you may want to wait to update. There seeems to be a data and wifi being cutoff.

Can’t you just design the UI using vectors. I believe .PDF is supported in UI elements on iOS to allow for ‘infinite’ scaling. 🧐👊🏼™️💕

FWIW, Aparillo and Zeeon look fine scaling to the larger screens. I’d just allow the UI to scale in the short term. It feels wonky and broken on the larger screens. So tiny.

  • Model D still doesn't have full screen mode in AUV3. It would be nice to be able to take advantage of all of the available space. @MoogMusicInc

Forbes tends to be crazy click-baity with their iOS news lately, I wouldn't go strictly by what they post.

@MoogMusicInc Any plans to fix issue where Model D (and Model 15) is eating basically same CPU amount even when it is not playing (as AU inside host) ? On older devides this is a quite big issue...

I’ve got more often audio crackles at 128 buffers latency with some AB/AUM setups and iPhone 7 Plus since I’ve updated to 12.1.3. Was mostly crackle free before, so I’ve to use 256 is those cases. Not cool for audio monitoring applications. Also, typing keyboard was a bit slow sometimes on first days after updating.

  • Seems that my latest issues has been fixed with an iOS all settings reset. Cool 👍

  • Heard the new iPad pros bend with almost no force. Is that true?

No. Mine doesn't feel any less sturdy than say the Air 2 did.

Could I bend it? Sure, but I would have to be seriously TRYING to bend with quite a bit of force to do it. I don't thinks it's nearly as flimsy as these bending videos make it seem.
