@giku_beepstreet Maybe each module could have a customisable x/y pad as an alternative interface to knobs. Then easier to perform with multiple controls. Knobs are ok but built in x/y gives a bit more control without having to set that up manually all the time. :)

Its a matter of modulation. You can connect e.g. filter to X/Y module or accelerometer

So could there be an x/y module, as in a Max for Live? eg add it in the chain and it can easily map to the available parameters in the rack. :)

    Purely fan fiction:
But what happens when beepstreet Drambo meets Bram (whatever the heck he’s calling it ;P ) , meets atom , meets AUM/Audiobus, meets Enso...

Will the game have changed? will we be fulfilled? Will we be able to make the song/art of out dreams?

Seriously though is it technology that’s holding us back or convenience?

Sorry if I sound preachy, tired, or sardonic...

Feel free to ignore if you’re busy. I’m sure it’ll all make clear sense when I have it in my hands.

But if each track has its own sequencer, how would you do things like copy a multitrack pattern to a new multitrack pattern (so you can make variations or whatever)? Would you have to manually copy all individual sequencer patterns on all individual tracks? That might become a bit tedious if you have like 10+ tracks...

Thanks for pointing this out! Yep this must be solved

I don’t think anyone’s being held back by anything these days except by available free time. People have access to most sounds and functions these days, even almost for free (VCV, Reaper, Native Instruments Free Bundle, Behringer synths, iOS apps and so on...). But spare time and head space seems decreasingly abundant. So game changers for me these days are anything that reduces the hassle/awkwardness/time to go from ‘inspiration>finished song’ and also reduces the ‘This feels more like work than art’ element that often accompanies complex ideas or goals. Drambo seems like it’ll tick those boxes nicely :)

Not disagreeing, just wondering out loud. Sometimes, myself included, keep looking for what if’s instead of what is. THAT should never be a real impediment to art - sometimes limitations/restrictions create good art.

But I TOTALLY agree with you about the headspace (time/friction/attention) ratio(s). Many say that expresses the word “craft”. Mastering a particular technology/technique to produce (on a relative scale of production) works in enough volume that could be considered art. So few master the unwritten vocabulary of what moves us (emotionally - patternfully) as humans. The rest is just a time to expression ratio of success.

    does it have
    by pure chance a module
    that triggers other modules
using the peak(s) of line in?:)

    or some sort of module
that acts like your Impaktor ?:)

Yes, transient detector (MIDI note on/off) and pitch detector (pitch -> CV) You can use it as a guitar tuner

Wait. Does this mean also guitar can drive synths? Like via mic input? Maybe this was stated before and I missed the memo? This thread is very long lol (and deservedly so!)

So, how much do we all think this piece of brilliance called Drambo is worth? How many bills are being reserved?

Only based on the iOS market, I’d say $30, but I’d probably be willing to spend more because this seems to be so much my thing

    Wow

  • @giku_beepstreet is hosting AUv3 plugins still part of the plan?

  • @giku_beepstreet

Now that the audiokit team has created a potential standard for ios microtuning, I hope you might consider implementing it for Drambo (plus zeeon and sunrizer eventually) so that one can easily send one tuning to several instruments. :)

Let @giku_beepstreet drop it.. please :)

  • Yep. Pull the shutters down on this badboy and BRING IT ON! 😂

  • I don't know whether I prefer to have it now and then ask for extra features or have it in two months time and ask for extra features anyway. :)
