Anyone which know app this is that Beardyman using for looping? NSFW language in video.

I'm not up to date on iOS looping apps. Or is he using AUM? Maybe someone with eagle eyes can tell from the video.

  • I have no clue, but that was entertaining to watch.

Sometime i saw a documentary (have no details along though) where he was talking about his „Beardytron 9000“, which was a selfmade app he was using. Guess it‘s something like this. Just guessing here.

  • Poor chap has trouble keeping his vocabulary clean for the kiddies, but yeah he’s got quite the looping setup.

I’m pretty sure the brains of this is Ableton Live running on that Mac on the left side of the screen. The iPads are just MIDI controllers, I think he has custom-made Lemur templates.

What a performance though, eh? I would love to see a walkthrough of his current setup.

  • Hmmm just found this with a quick search.

This video shows setup clearly. Laptops, ipads, RC-505, etc.

  • He said somewhere also uses special version of turnadofx but mostly what other people pointed: Ableton/Lemur

  • yeah, that first video is one that I watched a while ago, confirms Ableton Live for the main looping and "13 instances of Turnado" for effects. :o
Also the iPad controllers are custom-made apps that don’t even use MIDI, so that doesn’t really help us commoners.

I am pretty sure the RC-505 is just a backup for when his Mac crashes and he has to reboot.

  • I don't even know what's going on........insane looping capabilities.

I do feel like in the iOS world, we have the potential to recreate some of the setup. Having 4 iPads and 2 iCA4+'s would go a long way. Maybe an AUv3 version of SampleBOT. @Michael

  • wow what a cool video, i could watch that for hours.

yeah, there's a bunch of his presets included in Turnado.

Let's hear it for another great beat boxing loop master ...
