i don’t see a manual. but is there a way to make step bud play through the step sequence, just by pressing a key on an external keyboard?
in its default state it plays via the host transport control only. i would like it to be off unless i’m holding a key down.

    I second the question. Also, I would really like to know which other AU Midi sequencer modules will do this (start playing when I press a key, and keep looping until I release the key). Will Atom do this? Photon? Others?

    You can change the root key using a keyboard but the transport must be running.

    Rosetta Bassline...if you switch it from Auto Play to Midi Trig mode, it will only play while a key is held. The key will also transpose the sequence. The host must be running, and it plays in sync with the host, not the keypress.

    You can do this with ArpBud, which is my another sequencer app. It does not have AUv3 support though, there wasn't AUv3 MIDI tech for iOS back then :p
