The infamous buzz
List of apps that have that awful buzz when you open them. You know the ones that make a sharp buzzing sound and then either go silent or are ok.
Add any you can think of and list your device and iOS. See if we can find any common link.
These all buzz occasionally on my iPad Air 2 iOS 9.3.1
Sparkle
Turnado
Effectrix
Wow
Thor
Please add your details of device and iOS and any apps that do buzz and occasionally lose sound.

Casio CZ (iPad Pro/iPad Mini 4, iOS 9.2.1) - buzzes & cuts out audio when opened in an Auria Pro instrument slot.
The new Gliderverb update also does the same in AUM.
Forgot about the Casio CZ I've had that happen too!
I found it happens more when using Audiobus. When using IAA it is less. It happens more when I've put an FX in Audiobus. When no FX are inserted it is normally fine.
Oh, noise, not the member.
My first thought too.
Geoshred. Bit of a pain in the but sometimes , and there's a general background hum going on when I use it in aum .
The buzz is back in town...
I've experienced this as well. A mostly workable solution for me has been to use AUM instead of / as well as AB.
Grain Science and Tonestack have been the offenders for me.
I probably haven't opened Audiobus in three months. Buzz free since (not sayin it'll last or that it's something for which the AB developers are to blame)
All the ones I listed can buzz without AB or IAA
Well I now can at least open all the apps without audio cutout. If I turn the volume off before I open any of these apps, all is fine
I have no issues with effectrix or Thor but plenty of noise with iMini and ims20
And when I have the delay on in Z3ta it sounds horrible too, like some crazy digital noise.
Meh I don't really like Z3ta anyways and certainly never use its internal delay but still it sounds awful when some of the presets have the delay on
My plan doesn't work. Tornado just cut sound without the volume being up, so much for my theory lol
Try it with headphones plugged in.
Like with volume turned down, seems to work most of the time with headphones plugged in, but not always.
Maybe it's just Apple trying to put us off any form of analog output
before they take it away.
I always turn it down if there is buzz potential (Turnado the biggest offender for me). Mine can be quite loud- I just don't like the physical sensation I get when I hear it- you know that immediate flash of anxiety that you might have blown out the speaker this time
Yes it puts me off using some apps and makes the apps that can cut the sound, useless for jamming.
Having issues with this using x Drummer on iOS 12.4 with 2017 iPad pro. Using Cubasis to freeze the track is a workaround, has anyone managed to resolve this?
I haven’t had a good buzz in ten years. Sad!
Man, I was reading the topic and thought, finally we'll get Jeskola Buzz for iOS...
