iPad on send/return
Is there anybody here that has tried to use the iPad as a effects rack?
Wanted to use it on the send on my analogue mixer, is it possible?
Comments
Yes, it’s possible if you have an audio interface with ins & outs! I’m currently experimenting with this very same thing using the send/returns on the MC-707 and AUM!
@midlife
All the time using an original iRig headphone socket adapter
using a mono Fx send out and with a stereo Fx return.
Standard config.
Better sonic results can be achieved using a usb/lightning interface
which also means that you can have stereo in/out.
With a multichannel interface you most probably will be able to
have several effects running in parallel that though is theoretical
on my part at the moment.
AB3 or AUM as the host for the effects.
It's a lot of fun.
The cheapest way would probably be the Behringer UCA-202 interface. If you're OK with sending mono signals you can have two of them and return both via the stereo pair.
That’s awesome, I thought it should be possible.
I actually have the Behringer interface, I also have a Presonus Audiobox.
Thanks everybody
