I get a constant “recovering “ message in Audiobus.
You're scaring me to death guys! Anyone else can report?
What hardware and OS version are you running on?
Try power cycling your iPad. Try launching miRack before loading it into Audiobus.
Ok, tried again and got it working fine in Audiobus. I needed to follow the on screen instructions instead of ignoring like I usually do
Worked fine for me in AUM. Just have to start MiRack before loading into AUM as usual with IAA.
Works for me also. What a wonderful update. There was a moment where I wasn't getting sound, using my virtual MIDI controller, so I refreshed each app, and if I remember correctly, that didn't fix it, but de-selecting the MIDI input in the Mirack module and re-selecting it did fix the issue.
I hadn't really thought about it until using this app, but I now see that a eurorack setup can be used like a regular synthesizer. It just hasn't traditionally been used that way because it would take too long to change patches during a set. But the virtual modular approach does add that convenience, while maintaining some of the visual flair. So, that said, I'm looking forward to polyphony, even though I'm sure it will take some time.
I've just started to get into making monophonic patches for this, meant to be played with a keyboard controller. When I start uploading patches, perhaps that will be my niche.
Which ones? In case someone else has the problem.
On this topic, the plan is also to add support for storing presets for modules and switching them with, e.g. ABR triggers.
miRack running fine for me in AB/AUM/Loopy setup
@mifki its working fine for me now, I think I just had too much going on at once
False alarm then I guess. Thanks everyone.
Hey, cool! MiRack can run split screen with Audiobus, either with full split screeen, or with Audiobus floating over the rack.
Audiobus working great here 👌 iPad Pro 12.9 1st generation/IOS 12.3.1/all apps up to date. Big thanks mifki! And yeah more sample patches would be great .. three Moog Mother 32’s is about as far I’ve gone with anything remotely modular .. now with the ability to record with Mirack I’m inspired to really learn the art. Woot!
Btw, @topaz sent me some starter for inclusion in the app, unfortunately I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Here's the archive - http://mifki.com/a/t/StarterPatches1.zip
It would be super cool to be able to select multiple modules to load (from favourites even)
is anyone having sound burst issues when using the cf buffer and if so is this due to audio clipping? there is no manual for this module so I'm not sure where the issue lies. Also is anyone experiencing higher than expected midi latency?
I remember about this and will check the module and let you know.
Once I followed this instruction it worked fine.
OK bump.
Working fine on my Air 2 at about 30% with a 15 module rack into AUM.
So nice to have AB. This is such a cool app. I have to pinch myself to check Im not dreaming. You have done a real service to the ipad community by giving us this @mifki (Not forgetting all the hard work before by the vcv guys and all the generous eurorack module open sourcerers)
Thanks for this jewel @mifki !
Is audio input planed? I`d love to use MiRack as an effect processor!
Loving the app, but wanted to know if miRack is able to play polyphonically? Or is it Mono only for now? Thanks!
Mono only.
There are some tricks you can pull using apps like Polythemus AU to send notes to different channels, then in miRack send those channels to separate oscillators. But that adds complexity.
Yeah, that would be prohibitively complex for me.. and probably on my iPad too
It’s so easy and pleasant to design patches in miRack that I thought of using it for melodic poly “keys” sounds too. I’m normally not a big fan of wires, but this I’ve been really enjoying past couple of days that I got it
Hopefully the developer will implement poly soon! This app is gonna get BIG! Looks like it’s got quite a following already
