We're sorry this this happened but we only realized once the app went live. Apple doesn't allow retroactively changing update notes.
This problem happened due to a serious bug in Xcode 11.2 which creates a crash on earlier iOS versions for UI code that has always worked fine. Since Apple doesn't allow anyone to downgrade iOS versions, it's virtually impossible for us to actively test on older versions and we rely on Xcode to honor the guarantees it provides in the compatibility flags that are set, or to provide API incompatibility warnings. We recompiled the update with Xcode 11.1 and contacted Apple.
New versions are already live in the App Store.
Thanks for your understanding. Love, your friends at Moog.
Thanks Moog.
Thanks for reporting this, we're investigating what the cause might be and will fix it as soon as possible.
Thanks Geert.
App Developement and support is no small task, especially when the goalposts keep getting moved.
Appreciate the quick response, cheers.
@MoogMusicInc Just updated, standalone don’t start, and AU in AUM make a high pitch noise when changing presets. This is on iPhone 7 Plus iOS 12.3.1.
Make sure you update to Model 15 v2.1.14 and Minimoog Model D v1.2.7, you might still be running the previous problem version.
Thanks for understanding.
We confirm this behavior and sadly we're the ones that dropped the ball this time. In an attempt to make AUv3 more reliable with all the different host behaviors, we were too eager in the optimizations and accidentally excluded the code path that updates the knobs all the time, instead of some of the time. We're fixing it now and pushing another update ASAP. Thanks so much for your patience.
AppStore updates are often buggy, Model D was updated to 1.2.6 only, that was 15 mn ago. Now it’s 1.2.7. Standalone starts, but there is still this odd high pitch noise when switching presets.
Good to hear you found the cause so quickly. Cheers!
Thanks for confirming that v1.2.7 works, could you please reach out to [email protected] with more details about the high pitch noise, we don't seem to be able to reproduce it. If you could include a screen recording that we can try to reproduce, that would be really helpful. Thank you!
No problem, I will do it tomorrow.
I’m stable again. Thank you.
model 15, release 2.1.14 build 225 (iOS 12.3.1): still no knobs updated...
That was the release that was already out when we got the report about the knobs, we're currently waiting for v2.1.15 to be approved.
ah, okay... thank you!
Yeah, why didn’t I think of that? It would render my various Korg devices unusable but hey, that’s not a reason not to update. 🙄
New update fixed the issue, both standalone and as AUv3. 🥳
Apple also fixed it.

Hey everyone,
Just letting you know that the latest builds solve all the issues that have been mentioned in this thread. Thanks a lot for reporting them to us.
Love, your friends at Moog
Good stuff. Thanks Moog!
We need Moog to acquire Korg and make them get their act together.
