AUM toggle record without sync
is it possible to start/stop recording in AUM without waiting for the sync cue of the playhead? just want to be able to toggle record right away.

No, I don't think so.
too bad
MultiTrack Recorder is a pretty good option. Not perfect yet, but does the job.
It actually does this bit perfectly.
Turn off Host Sync and Remote, and you can freely hit record on/off in the app.
i see. is it possible to record directly to a folder within the files app or audio share?
It records into a clip pool, and you have to export to Files, AudioShare, or wherever.
ok thanks. will check this out. though MulitrackRecorder seems to be a little cumbersome for what i'd like to accomplish.
If the transport is already running recording starts at next quantum.
If the transport is NOT running recording starts immediately.
When transport is running 'pause' immediately stops the recording.
When transport is running 'rec/stop' will wait for the next quantum before recording stops.
I do wish it was possible to start recording at any time but most of the time I really like the perfectly trimmed loops
When using AUM as 'field recorder' starting from stopped state recording starts immediately and pause stops it directly.
i see there is a way. will check this out. have to find a way to make this accessible for one midi controller button though. thanks for the enlightenment @Samu
