New KORG Synth?

  • It would be amazing to have Trinity on iOS (because of MOSS), but i'm pretty sure it will be Triton. Trinity hasn't 3 knobs on right side, where on Korg's video is clearly visible there are 3 knobs on right side. So - Triton. I guess as sound module (same like M1), without workstation features.

  • it just occurs to me that they would have the sale data for the Triton pack for Module, and that may be what lead to this decision. if that's sold really well then it means there's big interest in the Triton from iOS users, they already have more modern version of the engine from the Taktile that they just need to port to iOS, and they could use the iM1 app as a base with modifications to make coding fairly easy

then they keep the Triton Pack in Module as an introduction to whet people's appetites, then you have a bunch of people going from that to the full Triton in an app.

  • Does anyone have a grip on Korgs definition of 'soon'?
(This week, month, before the sales end or even Q1'2020?).

Sometimes we waited months form the day of announcement. I hope that it will be... soon :)

I wish all devs would just drop their apps out of nowhere, like Moog and Sugar Bytes. I can’t stand this “coming soon” promo guff.

  • MOSS and sampling would really be something new. I'd be in!

  • I hope these „coming soon“ news flash was for some more AU love for their plugins.

yeah, like Electribe Wave - no one was expecting this, and it was great surprise

  • Hopefully it means “coming soon in a few hours”

    Yep.

  • “Soon” = “Not Soon Enough”

Ive got a business trip this weekend and had to cancel plans for my free day, if this comes out be then I would be golden

on the unfortunate end of Korg 'soon' timelines, we had to wait, what, almost a year for Otori and Ebina to finally come out for Gadget? (although that also could have been licensing reasons)

  • Since everything in the world seems to go in the quite exact opposite way of how I think it should go, I can bet on that this'll be yet-another-chiptune or 8-bit thing. Hopefully I jinxed it now by saying it.

I hope @davis_korgrd can answer that question for us. I'd like to know too.

  • I'd love to see Korg get wacky and do something totally new and unexpected. Like the Volca Modular was but for ios.

  • Korg often have just dropped something without any pre-notice so I’m guessing that “soon” could mean in the next few days.

Oooooo... yea! That’d be sweet. While we’re at it, a Kaossillator synth AUv3, with polyphony, layering, MIDI out... (you know, Bebot on steroids and acid).
    😁😁😁

In the past, they've released a new app just after a sale period has ended.
    Fingers crossed for the 12th...

  • I absolutely love Prophecy, which i owned decades ago. Come on Korg, provide it as a plugin or make the algorithms open source. I am sure someone can make great things out of it...

  • Don't need anymore Korg synths for iOS/ gadget. Make the stuff AUv3 I think evryone on this forum will agree.

Well, it’s always nice to see new stuff.

It’ll be interesting to see if this will have a Gadget version and be an AUv3 from launch. Then we will know Korg’s intentions.
