Description:
Features:
- Standalone and AUv3 Plug-in
- Precise port of Rack Extensions plugin
- Modeled vintage EQ
- 10 bands of proprietary equalization
- Familiar graphics operation on one octave centers
- 12 dB of boost/cut per band
- "Proportional Q" narrows filter Q at extremes
- IN/OUT switch - Allows the user to bypass the Graphic Eq for before/after comparisons
- Stereo(Mono), Mid or Side EQ modes
The curve shaping potential is unmatched, while unique Proportional Q design intuitively widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrows it at higher settings.
The EQ560 extends the features of the original hardware and joins the flexibility of the digital world to the character of the analog processing. Allows you to choose between equalizer modes (Stereo, mid, side) and remove analogue saturation from the processing circuit to deliver pure digital sound.
The EQ560 is handy when you need to make EQ adjustments on larger parts of the spectrum instead of a restricted area. Boosting or cutting several bands at once will radically alter the sound of a track, be it a thin, weak snare that needs low end or a dull vocal that needs to be opened up.
The EQ560 app filters the microphone input and plays it back in real-time. To use EQ560 as a plug-in, you need an AUv3-compatible host app like GarageBand, Auria, AUM, Cubasis and more. EQ560 will appear in the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins in the host app.
The EQ560 is a great complement to the parametric EQ550 and EQ550b.

It’s free for 5 minutes...then you have to pay
LAME.
C'mon - there are much more robust EQs out there that are free. This interface is pretty, but not worth the asking price.
Are the any other api simulators on offer for iOS? $5 doesn’t seem like much for a hardware modeled Eq if it’s the eq you want. If it was neve 1073 I’d buy it in a heartbeat
It’s $10 for the unlock. It does sound pretty good though
That’s weird it shows up as $5 on mine today. I remember on day 1 seeing $10 also though. I agree. If the modeled sound is what your after it might be a good buy. Are there any other api/neve (1073, not the newer stuff)/ssl (E,G series) emulations on iOS?
Oh dang I didn’t notice that, I’d absolutely pay that for it. I might grab it now. 6144 is the only Neve emulation I know of but it’s modeled after the 5033 I think. GoToEQ so far has been my favorite modeled one on iOS
just grabbed it, the mid-side feature alone is worth it.
Does it sound like anything that couldn't be done with Zmors EQ or especially TB Equalizer (both supporting stereo and mid/side modes too)?
5$ is a good price for this app. It sounds really good and we clearly don’t have a lot of graphic eq AU. In fact I think this is the only one at the moment
4pockets
Also Ifx rack has one equalizator like this inside.
It adds a good vintage vibe to the drums that I like a lot.
This developer has a lot of plugs in his catalogue, I hope he’ll port some on iOS.
I will buy to try the vintage feeling. Love it too.
Here are the graphical EQ available as AU.
I actually really like the sound of this eq. It has a vintage vibe that’s colorful and unique.
Being honest, on desktop I always mixed vocals thru a chain of 1073eq & ua la2a/la3a/1176 compressor (any of them) and my results were always much better than that of the ‘cleaner’ more transparent EQ’s for vocals (I’ll keep them nameless but they are on desktop and iOS and high end). I would use the cleaner stuff on digital instruments and on the master buss where I want things to not be ultra colored but ‘carved’ out so they fit in the mix.
Once upon a time ‘accurate enough’ vintage modeled equipment plugins were the holy grail of the digital realm and a single plugin would set you back hundreds and you’d buy it with a smile, believing (Sometimes laughably wrongly) that your project studio, or even bedroom studio had a shot of competing with the monolithic studios of old....anyways...
I hope they port over the rest of their collection as more plugins like this are sorely needed on iOS. I would recommend that they find a new ‘timer-less’ Business model because it feels sorta bait and switch. Just charge us up front and be done with it, or keep it free and charge for an AUv3 unlock (or something).
You can buy the unlock for the AUv3 after 5 minutes of use if I remember correctly.
It shows up a pop up.
But I can not find the way to unlock on main app.
Here You go.
I think the unlock is for the AU only, the standalone is useless (and free)
Yes that's right, unlock is for the AUv3 only
However, is the unlock a one time payment or subscription? If it's only $5 one time payment, I really don't see the issue. 🤔
Hi @RedRockSound
Welcome to the forum. First of all, congratulations for this eq, it has a really nice sound. I saw on your website that the offer of your plug-ins is quite wide, are you going to bring any other effects on iOS?
It would be wonderful.
I purchased and I have to admit that (my taste) is a lot better sounding then 4pockets and Ifx.
Great work.
Thank you very much for the positive feedback, we really really appreciate it
EQ560 is our first porting experience in AUv3. I think if everything goes well, we will continue to release new products in this format.
You pay once $ 5 and always use it.
@RedRockSound - liking this eq so far. It's got a nice color/saturation and is easy to use.
👍 Great.
Awesome. I would like to see your Trident A emu on iOS.
Please port them all. I will buy them all. 😊
