Beatmaker 3 workflow hold up

Is there a way when making your own kits that the sounds aren’t set to hold. I want them set to one shot? I hate every time i make a kit i have to go in and change each sample to one shot

Comments

  • Go to Settings & Behaviour and change Pad/Layer defaults to suit your needs.
(Ie. toggle between One Shot / Hold).

It’s already set to one shot but its not actually doing it

Then that's a BUG that needs fixing. I usually prefer 'hold' so I haven't noticed this 'bug' before :(
    Maybe @tk32 can assist here...

I don't have a clue if a new update is in the works and if it is what year will it drop... 2020, 2021?

Do you mean "it didn't change existing banks" or "it isn't defaulting to one-shot" for new kits? Changing the setting only affects new samples that you're adding. It doesn't go back and change any banks you already made.

    @wim has it right.

If you have your settings set to ‘one shot’ AND any new banks are still loading with in ‘hold’ mode then that does sound like a glitch/bug. Perhaps try force quitting BM3 / rebooting the ipad / starting a new project.

If none of those things work, reply back here and I’ll raise it with the dev as a suspected bug (for further testing)

I replied to you earlier today about this.

This is not a bug. Just tested this right now. If the kits were already created, changing the default to one shot will not automatically change every kit you already made. It only affects dragging samples to pad and making new kits after changing default settings. I tested this using the same sample in the same project by adding and deleting the sample after I made the setting changes several times. I suggest going thru your already made kits and setting them to one shot and re-save.

I don't know what's going then. I've had a couple people test this and it works for them same way it does for me.

Just tested - I noticed it occasionally happens after "heavy multi-tasking" on the iPad, i.e. - using lots of apps at the same time - Insta, YT, Twatter, FB, etc...

    iOS memory management woes likely.

Before working in BM3, force-close all open apps, then do a memory-reset.

    Details here: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/32989/soft-reboot-on-devices-without-a-home-button

OP, feel free to log this in the bug-tracker.

Yep I knew it had to be something weird. :D :D . thanks @StudioES
