In theory an AU can do the job I agree but the reality is there are none and times passes by.
For midi Atom record notes but no midi cc and its not really supported for various reasons.
Ive not seen a AU looper that works well for AUM yet. I love AUM, for me it the one host that really works well on my ipad and is suited to the system but it needs a simple midi and audio recorder which would increase its use for live and studio work, I don't see these additions making it a DAW.
Yet we keep waiting for a AU solution over the years.
Yeah I agree I'd like to see more of these plugins, hopefully we'll see more come next year.
I hope Sunvox AU comes soon, that will be very useful for this, full AU timeline automation etc
No, @Kymátika is not me! I always spell my company name Kymatica.

An audio looper node or a midi looper node built in AUM...
Either one would really make AUM extra exciting. We aren't getting these in AU form so far which are reliable and bug free.
How many hours, days, months (a year?) would one of these options take to design and implement? How can we persuade and support you to make this happen?
I suspect with Alessandro it comes down to more time and inspiration. I don't think he's much of a MIDI guy FWIW.
Yeah exactly I think the same, he has a lot of audio architecture, so a midi app is a lot of new investment time.
@j_liljedahl : oops, that’s my bad, when we initially corresponded on this I believe I came via your info@ address on your website, commenting here I saw the other @K address, and thought it was you, hoping to copy you in to the discussion just for your awareness. Guess you found it anyway
Sorry for any hassle caused. (And I wonder why someone else would be trying to pass themselves off as you?)
