I don't own any of them (although I would like to). friends who own them rave about them and they certainly do sound like nothing else out there. I've played around on a few and they seem to be very well thought out in construction and design.
I have the Plumbutter 2, which is very fun and easy. I also have the Sidrax organ. I have not gelled with that one. It’s great, but just not for me. Anyone who might want to buy it feel free to pm me.
In general, these instruments are collaborators. You can influence them, but you can’t make them submit. They’re for explorers and improvisers.

Is the Sidrax Organ capable of detecting your fingers in a range above the surface or do you have to touch the surface to play it?
Go and watch some Hainbach (earlier YouTube vids). He’s got lots of music using them.
No, you touch it. There are piezos under each bar that react to your touch. The sensitivity is adjustable, I think. Peter’s instruments are quite simple and crude, with complex and unpredictable feedback paths that make them seem alive. That’s all part of the charm.

Forgive my ignorance, but can you describe what it does in two sentences?
Its kinda like a Roli Lightpad Block but the way your touch gets interpreted is through the patches. It has its own programming language graphic interface. Apparantly, the way the circuits interact create a huge variety of feedback and other cross modulations. Has audio in too. I think. I just saw someone perform with it once in the dark and it was incredible what sounds were coming out of it.
