Happy to be stuck on ios12.1 - everything running smoothly. And for the first time in years - I don't think there are any apps I really want that are only for ios13 tempting me to update. I'll probably hold off for another 3-4 months..

Yeah, 12x is a good one.

  • Finally came across an app I'd like that is iOS 13 only. So ...

Just do a search, there was very recently a topic about this

  • Thank you. I did that, but failed to locate any sort of general consensus and/or particular device/app concerns (2018 iPad Pro 12.9 and Auria Pro here). If anyone has a link for a specific "yay/nay" thread or comment, that would be super.

Well to be honest the last update fixed the mail mostly and more importantly the video/photo now edits correctly and works with mail as attachment, so 13 is pretty much stable now.

    Ipad pro 9’7 2017 , ios ipad 13.3.

This is actually encouraging. I mean, I watch Doug use iOS 13 almost daily, but then, he rarely uses Auria. I'm aware I may have missed a slew of threads about this, so thanks again for your feedback

  • I commented in the original iPadOS 13 thread and I’ll repeat it here, briefly: All is fine, with the exception of Auria Pro sample rate conversion. As others have noted, the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 [which I’m also using] wants to run at 48kHz. When I load old Auria projects that were set at 44.1 kHz they don’t play correctly, unless I run them through an external HW interface [in my case, an iCA4+] also set to 44.1. That is, if played through headphones, the audio is staticky and glitchy, but if run through the external interface, it’s fine. I’ve reported this on the Auria forum.

I haven’t encountered any other issues in any other apps, audio or otherwise, and I’m on the latest iPadOS.

Ouch - that is critical! I have several legacy projects in Auria Pro. Guess I need to get over to the Auria Forum to see a Mr. Rim about an update. Thank you for this feedback! :o :)

But I do get this red bugger occasionally and only reboot clears it.
    Sometimes it looks like this

    And other times like this

    Pretty pathetic Apple.

@supadom hah, yep I'm still getting "randomly jumbled status bar widget garbage" in full screen apps too. Been there since iOS 13.0 I believe. Does this not have very high priority at Apple, given how embarrassing it is, or is it just impossible to track down? 🤷‍♂️

Thank you, Mr. Crabman - seems this thread dodged my search efforts, such as they are. For my particular use case (Auria Pro, 2018 iPad Pro and Sonic Port VX), p'haps I can afford to wait a bit longer. Sincerio Mucho Appreciado, Amiga

Mailed Auria support about iOS 13 and they said they are not aware of any problem. You should report this to the Auria support.

Btw, this issue (trying to run projects at a different sample rate from the hardware) may not specific to iOS 13.

I'm going to hold off until I need to do it. I thought the L7 Looper was forcing an upgrade, but they reversed direction and support 12 again.

I've been burned by macOS upgrades affecting the UR44 in the past, so I'm in no hurry going to iOS 13 or Catalina.

  • Are the interfaces that people have issues with all devices that connect directly to the lightning port? I'm surprised I have no issues at all with my very old m-audio fasttrack, but that's usb, connected via CCK.
