Not sure if you just have an idea for a track but you will end up needing at least a switch to cut the sound for nearly all scratches. Not telling you to buy it as its not the same. Turnado effects can produce a flare sound ( maybe even a double flare ) but it was just random.
Theres a bluetooth fader and ios app by mixfader. Or maybe djplayer pro with an akai mixer ( maybe as soundcard ) for IOS, provided you dont add hardware.
Maybe theres auv3 or other options.
Even an akai with a mini innofader. Its just a modded alpha fader with an innofader sticker. They are ok but even they need upgrading to an innofader pro 2 or similar. The mini innofader basically has a blend point at the cut off point making it to many mm. Better than the 80s but a pro or someone good would say they are missing clicks.
Anyway. Hope you find app. I would also buy app.
If theres no app or any app is crap and you cant afford a 1200 and mixer. Theres numarks pto1 scratch and a newer headache sound omni. With mods they seem good. Can make it dvs with a serato vinyl and djplayer pro. Your own samples. Thinking of actually selling a real deck and mixer to buy a mini version but I know it will be worse.
from future import samplr.auv3
(just kidding)
You could load Traktor DJ as an IAA in AudioShare and record your live scratches but Effectrix can help you design scratches which I find better than live-scratching on a touch screen.
What I would like to know is. If I bought a 2nd ipad and djplayer pro. You can use each ipad as a deck obviously but if I bought dj player pro and already had a turnable and mixer for scratches. Could I use djplayer pro on and ipad for dvs and then use a nanokey studio on the other as a mixer. Bonus would be mapping a nanokey to both ipads for 8 decks.
guess this is just a toy compared to what you're actually looking for. unfortunately no IAA or au3 but rather 3 minutes of curiousness and dulling right thereafter...

@BCKeys
Retronyms has a virtual turntable scratching set up in their iMPC apps- doesn’t work as an effect but allows you to record your scratches as tracks for export.
These days it’s iMPC pro 2, and iMPC, and the older iMPC Pro inside Tabletop.

That title is sooooooo ripe for jokes...
Nothing like the real deal 😁
Traktor IAA also works with the Traktor Kontrol S2/S4 hardware btw...
Or try this :
Cool idea but no reverse or stop which I find essential in scratching.
I usually take what I want to have some scratching on it and load it into DJDJ and record the output
@kobamoto Thanks, totally forgot that one, works great for scratching!
Neither AB nor IAA nor AUv3 though.
works good without the fader as well
@rs2000 Traktor dj is not coming up as IAA in any host Audioshare etc. I have never known it to. Version 1 & 2
Also looking for this,
But that would be able to record from an external microphone.
So far the best I've come up to is Baby Scratcch.
Also, AB and IAA : djay 2, but the scratch model sounds worse
Version 1 shows up here, and I can record my live scratches.

Samplr kinda works but make sure you’ve selected a short sample. Just IAA though. Turnado also can do something scratch like but definitely not the same result.
My mixer isnt best sound quality plus it does need an innofader pro 2. May as well sell it and buy a used rane 56/57 but the innofader 2 might be better. Plus a deck and mixer puts production gear to far along table. Hassle!
Someone should buy a modded pt01 or a headache sound omni plus djplayer pro and let me know.
Thats the numark pto1. With a good fader ( maybe a Jesse Dean ) but there maybe others. Should be better than the ios and bt fader but theres also the headache sound omni plus another one from a major company.
I cant scratch amazing so havent really bothered. Can do some crabs and flares. Whats good is you will choose which fader style is best. Normal vs hamster. You will prefer some scratches a certain way and then some the other way.
I kind of settled for hamster because its easier for flares and crabs. We disscussed a while back if you can only perform a 4 finger crab whilst in hamster and can only do 3 finger crab in normal.
Chirps and easier scratches are easier in normal mode.
Scratch training.
These Autobahns are difficult.
Hi. Not me.
The Pto1 can have a better platter. Better tone arm. Better fader. Check out mo at Djcity or the info will be on Numark or Jesse Dean or forums but check the headache sound omni. Might have already ideal components.
Was looking for someone else. Someone who scratches really good. I will try find them.
This video tho. Either use a numark or headache sound omni. Think the omni has some usb connection.
Record is practice yo cuts. Seems good.
He has something like launchpad.
So sample triggers and real vinyl as opposed to a serato time code vinyl which syncs to djplayer pro, which I think is still the only DVS software on IOS.
Remix live.
Would be good with real vinyl.
( looking back at posts ) Who even am I ?
Anyway. My system would be complete/nicer. If there were a simple BT disk ( like the phase tech ) that routes to an aum app.
I blame the companies who made programs and companies that make tech for only some programs.
Maybe a dev will write to the phase company and entertain making an app. Maybe phase by then would have made the phase 3.0 ( 2049 edition )
