Stereo recording with iPhone?
Is there an app that can do stereo files recording using the iPhone’s built-in mics? On newer iPhones, video is recoded with stereo sound. Can I do this for only audio?

Do you own AUM. It should expose the R+L channels if your phone provides both signals in hardware. My iPhone model doesn't and I need to use the Camera Connector kit and an audio interface to record into a stereo App in AUM.

One more example of Apple giving their own apps more permissions than 3rd party apps.
But who knows, maybe stereo recording from built-in iPhone microphones is already part of the latest SDK?
Hmmm, I thought Stereo was possible in Twisted Wave. You can certainly make a stereo recording. I just did it. I'm not sure if it uses both mics though...What about just recording the video and then stripping the audio?
...and choosing a low video resolution for recording. Shouldn't affect audio quallity.
That’s certainly possible, but quite clunky. I reckon I could put together a shortcut that would help though.
I made a shortcut, and it works very well. The only problem is that the video recording action in shortcuts is only mono!
Are the built in mics proper stereo mics?
