MidiLFOs superb!

A shout out to this fantastic app! Been around a while and recently became an au.
An all around fantastic lfo app with great options while maintaining simplicity.
Great for working within ios as well as outboard gear (standalone mode).

  • Yeah, I love it, too. One of my favourites little apps.

  • It's been a love of mine along with the indispensable MidiFiltr (which I wish now had 16 steps instead of 8 in one of its filter functions.

  • midiLFOs does what most iOS devs don’t..
    ..sorry 🤪

Much as I love Rozeta’s LFOs, these can run much slower relative to tempo, and with much more variation. Coupled with MIDIfltr by the same dev they are my secret weapon in humanising and reworking multiple MIDI streams from the same auto generator source, eg Autony or Aphelian, across multiple instruments. Cue up two or three different synths, whatever, drive them all from the same generator, but hack the streams between them and the generator with MIDIfltr, and set the LFOs to anything, including AUM channel volume, pan, and punch in/out, for semi automated mixes - marvellous stuff ! :)

  • Would love to see this inaction in AUM. Not much out there demonstrating its capacities.

Typo of the day right there. ;)

    Ha! (Damn you, autocorrect!)

  • Better than Rozeta LFO in functionality?

A little. You can modulate/trigger the lfos with the other lfos. And get slower lfo rates.

    I see the appeal.

Which MIDIfltr are you referring to here? I’ve just realized that most of the apps are for the Volca series, but the workflow you described sounded really interesting to try out.

  • @ahallam I believe it's this midiFILTr.. the only one NOT for volcas..
    midiFILTr-PG Probability Gate

  • My favorite thing is to route MidiLFOs into Ableton and watch all those dials start spinning. I really miss not having LFOs in the lite versions of Ableton but this fixes it propa

  • Awesome. Just picked up this and midiFILTr-PG

@royor is correct, that’s the one.
