any Xynthesizer wizzards out there?
i couldn't find a manual, and all the youtube tuts did leave me with some questions. so here i go if you don't mind:
can i record midi data into Xynthesizer via midi keyboard (to have it morphed afterwards)?
the amount of differently colored octaves differs with the youtube tuts i found, why is that and what purpose is this for?

Note entry by external keyboard - no, but it can transpose a playing sequence, or change key @dermichl
Any octave can go midi-out to a different (virtual) channel.
Xynthesizer and other midi manipulating apps together are cool to experiment with ('midiSTEPS' etc.)
How do you use Xynthesizr and midiSTEPS toghether?
Well, a while ago I had been experimenting with apps like these pointing them to each other (arpeggios, and the like, or think about midi moebius loopback with virtual ports) ...
With midiSTEPS keyboard note entry's doable, maybe playing/overdubbing sequences there to trigger Xynth or something completely different ... just experimenting.
so it is possible to send SPA into xynthesizr to trigger notes, right?
You can send it Midi, but it only does scalar transpose or key change.
It doesn’t play the internal synth.
You would probably get better results sending Xynthesizer’s sequencer to SPA instead.
haha if only SPA had an internal sound engine
It does doesn't it? Not great - but a few general sounds
🤣
I meant to process the sequences on route to some synth/sampler/sound thingy.
Xynthesizer puts out a lot of note clusters that ain’t necessarily chords, and they can constantly evolve. Seems good the process that with SPA.
There is a manual, accessible from About in settings.
