How to record MIDI with AUM.
Hi.
When I'm jamming with synths and sequencers on AUM, sometimes good phrases can be made. I'm currently recording that phrase as MIDI in Xequence and moving it to my desktop environment through the online storage for editing, and I'm looking for simpler and more efficient way.
How do you do it in such cases?
For example, AUM can record audio so quickly by track at only push of a button, but does anybody know a plugin that can record MIDI quickly?

You’ve got the best there is Xequence IMO. There aren’t many good options. Atom Piano Roll is handy, but limited in that it doesn’t export MIDI files. Photon AU is a good recorder, and exports MIDI, but has no editing. Most other options are external apps, and just different, not necessarily better, than Xequence.
Even ideas captured using Atom end up getting recorded into Xequence for me, if they’re worth developing.

Thank you. It would be nice to have a MIDI file export and simple editing functions. In particular, I think export is mandatory. Xequence is excellent, but a bit tricky to set up. It would be nice to have a simpler device
Thank you. I just need to record and export MIDI, so a simpler app would be fine, but I'll take a closer look at the device you told me
Thank you. I will check it

I agree you already have what you need. But since I agree you need a fluid workflow, and want something easier, Photon by @midiSequencer is what you need

Indeed. But there isn't anything really right now. Photon AU comes closest, but doesn't have editing, only export. It takes some getting used to the workflow, but if you keep things simple, it can be effective.
It is my go-to solution. Takes a little getting used to since it doesn't state save. I record then save as a midi file which can be exported for use elsewhere.
Thank you. I'm focusing on Photon, but I'd like to keep using Xequence because it would be more convenient to have some editing features
Thank you. I focus on Photon, but it may be better to use Xequence until my favorite Riffer supports MIDI export
Im currently starting to use Helium. What’s your all Midi solution for the year 2022?
