Also the 'mixer' feels a bit more laggy as it needs to 'highlight' the strip before it's possible to move the slider where in the previous Cubasis 2 it was instant, just tap'n'drag...

That’s horrible isn’t it. There’s almost a half second second delay before the UI responds again.

  • @LFS Sorry to post the links here but since my laptops were stolen on my last vacation I've lost a LOT of information...

Here are two *.cbi MiniSampler instruments that work flawlessly in Cubasis 2 but their loops glitch in Cubasis 3.
(Others are free to try them as well, just to check that it's not just my iPad Air 2 running iOS13.3.1 that is acting weird).

    First one is TV-Sampler.cbi.zip
The C2 note has a looping sample (the entire sample is looped) and it glitches in Cubasis 3 while working perfectly in Cubasis 2.

The second one is a sample from Poison-202 that uses crossfade looping (large portion of the sample).
It too glitches in Cubasis 3 while it works perfectly in Cubasis 2.

Hopefully these files can be of assistance to troubleshoot the bug...
I will now re-delete Cubasis 2 from my device to make more room for new apps.
    Cheers!

@LFS thanks to you and your dev team for all your efforts on this maintenance release. The most important bugs that affected my workflow have been squashed. This took longer than I would have liked, but thank you all the same for getting it done. I know this must not have been an easy accomplishment, so the effort of your team deserved to be acknowledged.

    Bravo!

    Hi @osc101,

    Thank you for your message.

We are sorry that it took some time to collect, discuss, reproduce and ironing out these issues.
With 3.0.1 we've tried our best to put in the max number of fixes, which affected the most of our users.

Now we hope all of you enjoy using Cubasis 3, while preparing the next update...

    Best wishes,
    Lars

I'll do our very best, consider also making it possible to view the mixer and a plug-in at the same time.
This would make it a LOT easier to use a plug-in such as FabFilter Pro-L2 while adjusting the mix.
(It's so easy to get spoilt by AUM and it's Multi-Window environment).

And well, Plug-In Delay Compensation would be awesome too as exporting any audio thru for example the Pro-L2 adds latency which is especially noticeable when doing a mix-down between locators which I do quite often to create loops...

Not to mention being able to route any Cubasis track to the input of the MiniSampler.
If/when this comes it would also make it possible to record the audio from an AUv3-MidiTrack without freezing it.
(Ie. select the Track hosting the AUv3 Plug-In as the input for another track). For now I use BM3 for these duties.

And I guess you'll all be hearing about support for multi input/out AUv3 support thru this whole year :)

    Cheers!
    /Samuel

I get around this by using the Channel view in the left hand pane....once you have your FX open, you can scroll the left pane so that you can see the level meter. I used to do the same in CB2 also.

This trick doesn't work for the master channel though :(

Good one, I'll have to try it :)

One thing that struck me, just like it's possible to add the pitch & mod-wheel to the keyboard with a switch, what about adding an option to view the 'channel view' to the left side of the Plug-In? (this could be pretty hand no?).

And regarding Pro-C2 wouldn't it be nice with if Cubasis supported AUv3 Multi Input/Output to use that Side Chain thing ;)

It would be handy, it could go in the same space the AU/IAA browser and presets appear.

    Yes indeed.
