EASIEST APP TO ______________________________
Import/Play MIDI FILES?
I am at still with GENOME and MODSTEP.
I am stuck in the past with apps so wondering what you are using these days for this.
If I can help and you want to ask:(audience shouts back)

You mean like playing General MID files with a GM Instrument set - like a MID File preview?
The „past“ is not always the worst
So stay stuck if you are happy.
Sometimes AudioShare or Cubasis is enough to get the simple structure.
Cubasis is the easiest for me as it normally finds the right instrument to play for each track - assuming the midi file contains the program data.
BS-16i can load them midi files. Great option too
The same dev also gave us this:

Photon I think but don’t have
I would like a simple one to use in AUM.
what is the easiest app to, record and playback audio quickly ?
Audioshare and/or AUM for me
TwistedWave by far. The only one that always worked for me after putting my iPhone into standby mode while recording with an external Lightning microphone.
Editing is really fun in TW, and denoising using brusfri AUv3 works well now.
TW had a number of AUv3-related fixes over time.
It can upload to SoundCloud, Dropbox and even ftp/sftp hosts, the only missing link is WebDAV.
Yup, Audioshare.
As a bonus, Audioshare is awesome for quick hosting and recording IAA
It also allows you to convert to many different audio formats and to edit the audio file properties (Author, Album etc)...which is important for uploading stuff to Google Play Music.
I used it the other day to create an audio file for our phone system at work that requires u-law encoding.
@rs2000 @AndyPlankton
how do record into the app? i have some synth and drums setup in AUM and want to record into twisted wave? but I don’t see it in the list. or are you just using it for external audio recording?
Yes, external. To record, you better use the AUM recorder and open it in TwistedWave for editing.
cool. are there any settings that enable setting up or editing a file by beats or bars? let’s say i want a 2 bar loop, can i setup the loop points to only loop a two bar loop and move that around my sample to find the perfect two bar loop i would like?
also i downloaded twisted wave recorder and it has an option to upgrade editing function for $5.99 or I can get the full version for $9.99. what is the difference ?
Yes.
THANKS
I have no idea, but whatever full one I did, I have access to BOTH to reinstall.
Sorry can't help anymore.
MVP APP I OWN!
I use the MAC version as well.
INSTA FX AU APPLY TO WAV!
So it can hold a folder of midi files?
WOW
Never new!

i guess snap to beat for the grid? something like audioshare has? which i like, but the zoom on audioshare drives me crazy
Auditor maybe?
Contentious one possibly but easiest app for mastering = grand finale ?
It certainly dumbs down a process that’s arguably not very dumb-downable!
