Yep, i just tried now for you, got five drambo effects one drambo as AU instrument sequencing and five zeeons so its not bad.

As for your question of real completed projects, personally i wont do that until finial release so i don't lose work. So little funbits.

But i meant if there are FX slots for extern AUv3 FX inside each Drambo track and/or the final output rather then using Drambo as FX itself .
So that i could use f.e. Blackhole or Alteza per Drambo Track without leaving the Drambo GUI and could use parameter locks per step as well on the AUv3 for certain values like dry/wet, time etc. I like so far everything i heard about Drambo beside the delay and especially the Beepstreet reverb is a weak part (at least if it is the same as in his other apps).
I think the phaser and chorus is really excellent (judging what is in Zeeon).
If i understand it Drambo will include mainly everything and more which is in his other apps.
I wonder if we finally could create a polyphonic Dagger (his mono desktop synth which sadly never came to iOS) with Drambo. Not sure what it is but the Dagger filters and also the envelopes are a level above his other synths. Maybe even most snappy and fastest envelopes in combination with the filters i ever heard yet. But Dagger is more suited to bass sounds since its mono and the envelope is limited to short times.
Now i wonder if Dagger filters are also included since they are quite different as the ones in Zeeon, more aggressive you could say.
I must say that Beepstreet is a master at DSP. His synths are all amazing. The only thing is his reverb algos (and delay is so O.K.) are not that great and often mask the wonderful raw sounds and i switch it off and replace it with extern.
Edit: I maybe ask already for DAW like features and that is maybe too much.
But who knows Drambo might replace most iOS DAWs in the future and could become the Bitwig of iOS

Wow, alot to digest there! The release version will not have AU multi outs but its planned for a future update, 8 outs i believe so when this is in place you can route audio to third party AU effects.

Each track as external in. So you can process external audio input with drambo effects.

Drambo is not a AUv3 Host just to make clear.

Referring to p-locks on AUv3 effects im not sure and dev would have to comment on that. I’ve not even tried to test this as there are no multi outs yet.

I agree with you assessment of the effects, i wonder if you are using a sound card much with your iPad/iPhone?

You can use the cc generator and midi out modules to control auv3 synths or effects, plocks or modulations.

Random factoid: was reading an interview from Tape Op with Jimmy Douglass who produced “Solid Gold”. He was into making hit records and (Recalling the sessions) he complained about the Gang of Four’s “English schoolboy shit”. The Gang was pretty adamant about what they wanted (god love ‘em) and would not budge. The interview was obviously more sympathetic to the producer, but I couldn’t help but feel that it was just a really bad fit.

I do not use a sound card or audio interface normally for iOS and even on not on my mac.
I often use IDAM to use iOS apps to work within Logic where everything should sound the same then (?).
Not sure if an audio interface could make the reverb better. It is aliasing as hell for the higher frequencies if i do not damp it down as hell or use really very small "rooms". I mean most included reverbs in synths do not compare with good dedicated FX but some actually are very good and even sometimes on par with them (like f.e. in Shockwave, TF8).
But some of them might use licensed algos.

yes... but who might this ‘Dave’ be? a personal friend of Hal9000 mebbee? i had Solid Gold but for some reason got rid of it ( probably NOT that producers fault ). but now i am curious all over again to get a copy to earwig.. i’m not spending anything on DRambo right now ( or Moog Model D ) .. so why not?

It’s true that they’ve asked for feature suggestions for one and that they have said that is how long they plan for it to take to build. They’ve also said it will be free.

I assumed that it referred to Dave Allen the bass player, though I don’t think that he had much to do with the lyrics and general anti-establishment thrust of the band. Pretty great bass player though. So Jon makes more sense, but I can swear there are other versions that use Dave. Maybe it was changed so that it could be more inclusive of the rhythm section. There may also be another version out there with Hugo, but I haven’t heard that one.

Solid Gold was, well, pretty solid, but perhaps harsher on the whole than Entertainment. Worth picking up again, I think.

The two records are both powerful, but I find "Entertainment!" better, since it's the bass that drives the songs. (I'm a bass player.) "Solid Gold" to me sounds like a producer who REALLY liked dialing in drum sounds.

Did you ever see the movie "Urgh! A Music War"? Kids, gather round and let me tell you what life was like in the days before YouTube, when you had to go to a theater to see a new wave documentary that would only be shown at the film club of the local American university!

Pretty great. I have seen that before - “Urgh...” was sort of like the TAMI Show of its time for the alternative set. Gang of Four was an excellent live band. I agree about “Solid Gold”. I find the production to be less spacious, more dense, less impactful overall.

the real interesting thing about this conversation is exactly how much music in those turbulent end of 70’s times had solid anti-establishment polemic. and i include The Clash in this .. and a lot of the two tone stuff and obviously many many more, another fave is Poison Girls : Dirty Work .. from out of all that Crass Records stuff.. now we seem to be in such similar times as regards global instability and institutional State immorality.. i wonder if we had such a ground swell of music voices protesting and ‘giddyupping’ the “Yoof” if we might not have had such idiot reactionary results in both the b word poll and the recent election here in the UK.

Random factoid: was reading an interview from Tape Op with Jimmy Douglass who produced “Solid Gold”. He was into making hit records and (Recalling the sessions) he complained about the Gang of Four’s “English schoolboy shit”. The Gang was pretty adamant about what they wanted (god love ‘em) and would not budge. The interview was obviously more sympathetic to the producer, but I couldn’t help but feel that it was just a really bad fit.

yes... but who might this ‘Dave’ be? a personal friend of Hal9000 mebbee? i had Solid Gold but for some reason got rid of it ( probably NOT that producers fault ). but now i am curious all over again to get a copy to earwig.. i’m not spending anything on DRambo right now ( or Moog Model D ) .. so why not?

I assumed that it referred to Dave Allen the bass player, though I don’t think that he had much to do with the lyrics and general anti-establishment thrust of the band. Pretty great bass player though. So Jon makes more sense, but I can swear there are other versions that use Dave. Maybe it was changed so that it could be more inclusive of the rhythm section. There may also be another version out there with Hugo, but I haven’t heard that one.

Solid Gold was, well, pretty solid, but perhaps harsher on the whole than Entertainment. Worth picking up again, I think.

The two records are both powerful, but I find "Entertainment!" better, since it's the bass that drives the songs. (I'm a bass player.) "Solid Gold" to me sounds like a producer who REALLY liked dialing in drum sounds.

Did you ever see the movie "Urgh! A Music War"? Kids, gather round and let me tell you what life was like in the days before YouTube, when you had to go to a theater to see a new wave documentary that would only be shown at the film club of the local American university!
