The timing will sync to the host, and since the buffer is a 1 bar buffer will check the timing at the beginning of each bar, in case you happen to add the plugin while the host is playing already, it will re-sync at the beginning of a bar. You should be able to check this by restarting the host sequence, hitting the back button in AUM should show you the sync.
If this is not the case for you or maybe you can explain the problem differently, can you DM a video to me and I will take a look to see if I can help.
Also for the pattern grid, if you rearrange the sequence, it plays from all of the current locations in the buffer, the buffer is always overwriting, once it is full, and you re-arrange the sequence on steps that you haven't actually visited yet (future steps) you will be hearing the audio still in the circular buffer for that step.
I hope that made sense.
Also I wanted to say thank you to everyone! Last night I ended having a bunch of things go down at my work, so had to spend 4 hours until 2am working. If I seemed unresponsive that is why.
As for people saying the price is a steal or too low, first thank you for buying it, and second with the crazy things that are going on in the world right now, I wanted to be mindful of people's budgets. I know they are tight right now, and if I can give people fun for a price less than a coffee, and something to do while trapped inside, I am honored to do so.
Take care everyone and stay safe!
👏🏼
A talented dev with a generous spirit. Thanks for restoring a bit of faith in humanity.
Same to you! Take care!

thanks distraub, i wondered if the vague thought of putting some routable multibus outputs in at a later date had crossed your mind?
It had, but I figured Scatterbrain was already doing that exact thing. But I have thought about putting multiple inputs at one point.
Trying now
@distraub When trying to load the AUM session, i get the error: ‚Could not load session. This session was saved with a newer version of this app, please update‘. Since my AUM is up-to-date, i assume you are using a newer beta
I'm sure we all will, but please can the beta testers make sure to buy the app? Weeks of enjoyment already throughout the testing process!
@_ki I'm using latest version of AUM, haven't had that problem though
Oh you mean my AUM session I shared, that is right, yes I am using an AUM beta. I will load the latest AUM version from the store today and share again. I didn't even think of that.
Also one small thing to ask, if you are enjoying the app, and have a chance to leave a review in your app store, it helps tremendously with discoverability.
Thank you!
Alex
Did so before. 1st in 🇩🇪
Just not yet approved through Apple.
really digging this effect!
well, that’s an even more interesting idea.. keep that thought
My original thought, and I actually did something similar in that GlitchBreaks emulator demo AUM session I posted with Mozaic was to feed in up to 4 inputs, which then would correspond to pads in the UI, where selecting one pad would exclusively solo that input. This would emulate the behavior of one of my other Apps GlitchBreaks, but with live audio as an effect.
It currently works in using the session I made, but if I had it internally in the app, I could do something like have each input buffered, and then use that buffer, so there would be no delay as the buffer catches up.
I approve of this message.
I also think the global situation can be a net positive if we act correctly.
Cultivating gratitude and kindness is never a bad thing whatever the circumstances.
Another thing I am curious about and wanted to ask.
Would you rather a developer start sharing things early, screens, videos, like I did?
Depending on how early, it can make the wait for the product feel really long, but it is fun to view that stuff.
I know it is also fun to be surprised, if the dev kept it under wraps and said here check this thing out, and now it is available.
Also a nice thing for me, was seeing the excitement around the things I was sharing, motivates me to make it awesome.
Let me know your thoughts.
5 star review left and written review. This is aces. Definitely would have paid more, but I think it's really cool that you are being flexible with what's going on in the world as of late. Just excited to be able to support an awesome app and dev!
Thank you!
Thanks to you! I do appreciate this spirit of humanity to us fellow humans. May it come back to you tenfold!
Previews are great if there’s a definite release date. Otherwise I’d rather not know.
Great job on this app!
I will do immediately.
Italian store 5 stars and review left.
I think you handled the preview very well for this app. There was just enough info and demos to get some excitement flowing and the beta tester reports were informative and helpful without being condescending and annoying.
i’m really loving this app. one suggestion that could be really cool in a future update. it would be very cool if each step could be transposed up or down in pitch. i think this could give some excellent variety.
Moving forward in an update I would like to add all sorts of things per step, amplitude, envelopes, micro loops in the steps, reverse. I am not sure about pitch, because I am not sure how to implement it on a live audio signal, but yes I would definitely love to have that.
Everything I mentioned are all pretty doable (except for pitch), although some will require quite a lot of internal surgery to work, but the biggest thing that I fear changing is making the UI too complicated. I love how easy it is to "Play" the app, and is typically not like that with most effects. Maybe something like a more advanced mode would let you edit those per step functions.
But yes I have dreams for things like that to come in the future.
I have plenty of plans already for updates, but will keep in mind the complexity to not make it difficult to use
Yes Please! all of those features sound perfect! I can’t wait
