iPAD: Could A Generic Camera Kit can be the reason why I'm hearing cracking sound?

I ear cracking sound sometimes when I use my Launchpad (NEW) and my iPad (with A12 bionic). I play a note on my Launchpad and I ear crack. My Launchpad is connected to my iPad via a generic Apple Camera Kit (Lightning to USB).

If I play music with my iPad, I only run the minimum app at the same time.

Can this be the problem? I have this model:

    It cracks with every note? With all apps? or is it on a specific project you have set up in a DAW?

    I was using Auditor today in AUM using the Trigger on each MIDI Note and it cracked with every MIDI Note into the app.

    Cracks are the speakers being asked to move a great distance in a single event. Music using involves cycling a speaker slow back and forth to product precise oscillations like sound wave in the air. Any individual change it the speaker cone is so enough for it to handle it to create sine waves and complex
    waves but always "waves" and not jagged surfaces where th speaker moves from +0.15 to -0.85. You just hear the speaker make mechanical sounds unlike music.

    Now the Camera Kit is passing USB which can be MIDI events or with some hardware Audio over USB.
    I think the LaunchPad is MIDI only so these clicks are probably related to a specific App send poorly formed waveforms like Auditor does at the start of every playback in MIDI mode. It makes it unusable for me as a Loop launcher but I haven't heard anyone else complain so more research is needed by me.

    You can also detect clicking when the speaker is asked move the head past the range of the cone's limits. You hear this a lot when a speaker is falling apart and being served powerful bass notes. My TV's speaker has this problem with some film music that features heavy sub-bass tones. It tries and rattles like crazy. We hooked up an external speaker with better lows.

    I have the same problem when I hooked up my iPad with my Blackstar TVP (integrated soundcard). I plug my guitar in my amp and I use my iPad as a mFX. Sometimes, the sound is distorded. I close the amp, reset the ipad, reopen all and it work. Sometimes, I can set the buffer to correct the situation and sometimes, I receive a message that tell me "You cant change the buffer due to an app that set the buffer for you" (or something like that).

    The drivers on the soundcard of my amp are up to date. The bizarre thing is, sometimes all sound good and sometimes, for, I-dont-know-what-reason, I hear cracking noise.

    BTW, thanks for your well writing answer. English is not my first language, I'm not so elegant with my style.

    And yes, to answer your question, my Launchpad Pro is only midi. I play yesterday and, Galileo 2 was find, but when I use Basselicious 2, I hear crack noise almost on every note.

    Standalone or in a host? AU or IAA/Standalone? If in a host, what are the buffer settings? (Setting buffer settings too low can cause crackling with heavy apps such as Bassalicious 2.)

    I kind of doubt it's due to the connection kit, but it is true that in general only the Apple CCK can be trusted. If there's anyone you can borrow one from, that might be a quick way to tell.

    Standalone. When I use my guitar with my iPad and my multi-effects app (BIAS FX), I have better result when I use Audiobus. When I think about it, if my Generic CCK was the problem, I may be experienced a lag, not crack. In the situation of the Launchpad Pro, the CCK transmit information not sound.

    I will try some more tests today. I read all kind of solution on the Internet. Some say to put your iPad speaker to mono, I dont know why. Doesnt work BTW.

    I know the sound can crack when your processor is working at 98%. But my iPad only work at 12% with BIAS FX and it sometimes crack. Anyways, I will do more test today, thanks.

    It can also be your headphones or the internal speakers in your iPad that are making this physical/non-musical noise on impulses (at the start of each note). Can you try another set of headphones?

    Yep, that was a good try, but all my headphone give me the same result.
    I done some test today and I realise something. When I’m stick with one app for a couple of hours, I dont have problem. But when I’m switching to one app to an others to try to find the right sound, this is when I have problem. Each time I open a new app, I close each previous app to help my iPad (double click home button and then swipping up each app to close them).

    Maybe my upcoming iPad pro will solve the problem. Right now I have an iPad mini 5.
