Audio Unit clip launcher/ or workaround- suggestions wanted please.
I like Launchpad and Remix Live, however I would like to have multiple instances of this type of thing in Audio Unit form. What is the best option you know of? It is vital that selecting a clip will launch as the previous one ends and stops.
I don’t have Drambo- will it do the job? Or are there any other options?
Thanks

Loops in a drum machine that can hold long loops
I’m looking for a clip launcher style that will play and loop a selected clip after the last one finishes and then stops- like in Launchpad.
Choke groups
Clip launching in Zenbeats AU and beatmaker 3 IAA
Maybe L7 looper? I will experiment with it and see
You could emulate some functionality by not sequencing to loops in the drum machine just load your sample and press the pad. Choke groups would allow you to interrupt playback otherwise the sample will just play after you’ve triggered it (for as long as it is)
I don’t think the choke groups would cut it- but I’m liking the sound of Zenbeats as an option.
I tried the L7 as an option earlier, but I couldn’t get it to play in the way I described. I could have missed something though as I only got it recently along with a lot of other apps. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.
Use StepBud as a pattern looper, change patterns with midi cc.
I’m hoping to avoid getting involved with midi.
Hi- it’s okay I’ve worked something out that seems to fit the bill just about perfectly- but thanks for your help and time @audiblevideo , @TheAudioDabbler & @auxmux.
I like a nice build up.... so here we go 😀
It’s an app I have had for a while but seldom used.
It’s an Audio Unit with a slender footprint.
It loads loops very easily via the files app (so AudioShare etc)
There are 16 pattern pads to choose from on the page, so by having on loop in each pattern you can switch between them.
You have a full bar (four beats) window to select your next pattern (which is fine with me) it will then stop the previous pattern and play your next selection. - so if your pattern is say four bars long- if you press your next selected pad anytime within the last four beats it will transition smoothly. - if you are trying this you will need to choose 1/1 for the quantise.
There is also the opportunity to make use of the other resources within the app as well (which are considerable) if you wish.
Have you guessed it yet?......
No..........?
It’s Beathawk!
Thanks again! 🥳
It’s also free right now for anyone interested
