@MatthewAtZenbeats hi the new update has brought back the annoying bug where iCloud drive must be switched on to be able to browse for user Audio Samples etc via Files.app
User/TapFolder. It was fine in the previous update.
Another Zenbeats update! Wonder what this one brings?
As am I. Indeed, the clip/loop view was part of me ramming my head against the screen. Once I sorted out how to stay in the timeline/linear view, things started to make more sense.
Since 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 aren't even listed in the new update screen, and the update text is the same as the previous update, I'd guess small fixes to previously released fixes.
I found one that was important to me. Drag select multiple clips instead of having to tap on each one is back. I think the recently discussed issue with extending clips is fixed too but my eyes are crossing about now! 😴 For a large company, Roland is quite responsive with this app. Thanks @MatthewAtZenbeats !
@anickt @MatthewAtZenbeats select multi might be back but it selects everything within the tracks highlighted and can not use the multi select from within the clips. Has to be initiated from outside the end of clip borders. Come on guys thats nuts
@anickt @MatthewAtZenbeats basically you cannot multi select then hover over clips unless your at the very end of Track sequences on the Timeline
Not sure what you mean. Drag select is typically done by dragging around desired group of clips starting outside clip borders. If you want specific clips you tap on them. You can drag select around a group of clips and then add any other clips to the selection by tapping on them.
them.
@anickt dude try using multi select within your sequences. All DAWs allow this Its standard. Hover the multi select tool within section of clips. It does not work. Say for instance you have a section within the song & want to copy and paste to another part of the timeline. Zenbeats multi select does not allow this. Simples, “ around” is different to “within”
What do you mean by “hover”? What device are you on? With the multi-select tool I can select a group of clips by drag selecting around them or a bunch of individual clips by tapping them and then copy and paste them. Simples. 😉
That's an odd one. Nothing has changed code wise to cause that. We'll have to investigate.
1.2.3 did bring back the ability to range select multiple clips in timeline view as this was heavily requested when we introduced touch scrolling. The multi select tool, still allows users to tap to select/deselect patterns. We just wanted to bring back the desired lasso selection. It's true you can only lasso outside of a clip range. We can look at adding the ability to add it inside a clip range as well in the future.
As always, thank you all for sharing! This is extremely helpful!
PSA here's the other updates/fixes made for 1.2.3
Plugin Compatibility: Fixed issue where certain plugins would not load multiple instances
Drum Machine: Fixed GUI issue loading large drum kits
On-screen Instruments: Fixed transpose issues when using key lock (and more)
Multi-Select Tool: Can now lasso to select multiple parts on timeline view.
Purely out of curiosity - I’ve never seen software that allows lasso starting inside a clip. I’ve seen shift select for a range on desktop. I don’t use a keyboard with my iPad however. Is there touch-based software that does that anyone?
Thanks for the update @MatthewAtZenbeats
Honestly, best typo I’ve seen in ages.😍 Anyone who has used any DAW-like software on any platform has tried to rage select at one point or another! 🤘🏽
I haven't seen this either. Would be curious to see some examples.
hahaha. fixed! no need to rage :-)
@anickt @MatthewAtZenbeats are you guys serious .check screenshots Cubasis3

@MatthewAtZenbeats @anickt i really appreciate Zen is for free but come on to say you never seen what I have just posted above (pics) is bonkers bananas. Select Tool and hover anywhere within clips.
Nice! I've never tried touch and hold to initiate a lasso drag. Cool!
@MatthewAtZenbeats yah. See above
I have never seen that..... if I was in any DAW... FL, Live, Reaper...etc.. I always grabbed outside the clips.
@anickt @MatthewAtZenbeats beatmaker3. The list goes on.
@onerez pro tools all of them you can highlight within regions for copy and paste of sections. With hand gestures not setting locaters. For zillions of years guys
Ok so I see what you are saying now. For some reason I thought you were like talking about splitting or being inside the clip. Yes when you do this it selects the whole track and not just the area you highlight... yes I guess I do miss this and I did use it all the time on desktop. Sorry for confusion.... you are probably thinking these idiots across the pond dont know shi*. LOL.
@onerez no probs. Its on all iOS daws Need it in Zen, cool
Hey Everyone
Got two questions for anyone here.
Do any of you, have a 2019 iPad Mini with the A12 chip?
If so, can you tell me if it runs at 48k or 44.1?
Thanks!
Be good if they could send the confirmation email for my new account I submitted 9 hours ago.
Not in spam I presume?
Nope, and I just tried to resend the confirmation, and it told me the email address ‘doesn’t exist’.
Can’t be doing with this - deleted.
I beleive that message means, the account did not get created. If you try again and need some help. PM me here.
cheers!
