iELECTRIBE iPhone – Trap drumloop – haQ attaQ 81

I’ve always loved KORG’s products, especially the KAOSS and the Electribe machines. I’ve owned almost each and everyone of those things and they’ve shaped my way of thinking when it comes to music creation.

  • Kind of bummed that IPAD version didn't update.

So, no way to send/transfer patterns from IPHONE to IPAD?

Still tempted to buy - but wish they were more thoughtful of existing customers.

Does this have sampler like the actual Electribe now have?

I have a feeling it won't be long. I think Korg have plans to get versions of most of their existing iPad apps into Gadget, like they have with iM1 and Module.

  • I also think the iPad version didn't get update because they are working on bringing iElectribe into Gadget.

@yug I'm hoping this will be true. All 3 classic Electribes (EA-1, ER-1 and ES-1) as Gadgets...

Even the iElectribe could have all the 3 classic boxes running at the same time, that would be totally awesome! :)

Yeah, that would be great. Even if it's just ER-1. I'm not a fan of Tokyo, it's too limited

  • Btw. thanks for the video @jakoB_haQ I really enjoyed watching it. I am considering getting the iphone version for my ipad and was happy to see how great the iphone version looked and performed on your ipad

  • Apparently the iPhone version has the nice valve force tube distortion hidden somewhere and only accessible over midi, still I prefer the iPad version over the iPhone version...

    Yes, yes, yes....

  • This is great, makes me want to do a proper iElectribe video

  • Interestingly enough the iPhone version av iElectribe has files (graphics) from iPad version and also includes the AudioCopy SDK but there is no UI for it. Guess we'll see an update pretty soon...

Who knows maybe there will be a bunch of new Korg Apps waiting for iOS9 approval :D

  • nice video. the face is totally messed me up. i been watching your videos for a while and i always i thought you looked like sean connery cira late 80s highlander era -- I dont know why.

  • @RustiK I would be very surprised if EA didn't come to an iPad or if they didn't at least update the existing one. :)

  • @Samu @yug I was thinking the same thing. Could there be Electribe gadgets added in the near future! It would be sweet as ripe dates! :)

@telecode101 Wow that made me laugh out really loud. I've had people telling me I look like ache Guevara and Bob Marley. But Sean Connery?! You brightened my day, thank you! =D

Here in Ottawa Canada we have a superstar Swedish hockey player named Erik Karlsson. At times I find you look and sound like him.

You have styled your hair (head and face) after this superstar, yes? ;)
Are you a fan of hockey?

@Redo1 are you referring to this guy?

    https://sv.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_Karlsson_(ishockeyspelare)

Hope I don't come of as boring. I'm actually not a sports fan at all. Making music, electronics and games are the only thing that have interested me throughout
My entire life...well that and women.

When it comes to my hair style, face and head, I have dreadlocks.
I grew up with Reggae, Ska, Roots Dub and Rocksteady music. So I was influenced by musicians like Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer etc. :)

Might be hard to see my hair style with the dark background and everything. I'll have. I used to have dreadlocks 2 meters long and a special hat to hold them.

I have included an older picture of me. :)

Not to make this a sports discussion, but I was referring to this guy here,

Considered a pretty damn sexy guy here btw. Just saying. Hope you're not offended somehow :)
I started out with bob Marley like most here I think and then eventually got mor into scientist and king tubby etc but admittedly not far enough in. If you could recommend a couple of your fav dub records I'll check them out.
(Cool pic you posted. Looking good man)

  • @Redo1 No no no, not offended at all!

Scientist and Tubby are my absolute favourites when it comes to roots dub.

There is this record u have to keep buying because I play it until it breaks. It's a vinyl btw.

Scientist rid the world of the curse of the evil vampires. I'm betting you've heard it.

Game company Rockstar used this album for their K-Jah radio station in the game Grand Theft Auto 3. I kept forgetting to actually play the game when listening to that station. I used to get into a car, turn on K-Jah and cruise. :)

  • Ha lol, Sean Connery, man I cant cope

  • Big Showdown was the first I heard, so I have a soft spot for that one and of course Vampires.....ah yeah. I could never find the vinyl here, so stopped looking. what beautiful records they would be to have.
gonna have a listen to my collection today. Thanks haQ!

@jakoB_haQ I think you look more like Neo ( Matrix )...
    Note the cord lol

  • @Redo1 @thesoundtestroom This is the best most epic pic of Sean and looking at the face...it's not too far of. :)

    @jakoB_haQ
You'd have to get into that outfit and do a real side by side to get to the bottom of this.
at least your next halloween costume :))

So...I have iElectribe iPad edition. I asked this in another thread I think, but would you say the iPhone edition sounds identical? Is it supposed to be just the UI that is changed/updated?
I'm going to load it up later tonight.

  • Lol....any similarities?

  • @jakoB_haQ Haha, I was surprised nobody notice that, you look are plugged into iPad lol

A quick touch with Leonardo app...

Hmm perhaps I'm a noob with midi. Any idea on how to access the valve distortion?
