This has midi footpedal support which is cool, but that's all. Play, stop, next, and something else. That works for free. However, since I have a LAunchpad as well I went for the Launchpad IAP since it's just more intuitive. Since Launchpad has open in I think it's a better choice, you just have to put up with assigning the beats or tempo. I also like that you can change the launch quantize in LP, which you can't in this.

ok thanks. The thing I like in LP is that they say it timestretches the samples to fit the loop - I'm guessing Launchpad doesn't do this, but it's something I'd be looking for as I'm too lazy to create perfectly timed samples of my own.

@kobamoto We decided to omit a panning control on the iPhone screen in favour of larger clip buttons/volume faders.

LP-5 does not (yet) include any export options because it’s designed for live performance, but I’m already working on an update that adds an output recorder.

@mwaldboth i love this App, nice work and keep improving it. I would like to see a midi learn option instead and also a master output channel where you could add FX to the entire project.

I think LP-5 has more/better import options than Launchpad, with iCloud, Audioshare, zip files, Dropbox (w/o the PITA folder structure requirement ... tho it would be cool to have multi user folders in LP-5).

Also, LP-5 ultimately has more effects options via IAA than Launchpad's internal effects (admittedly, Launchpad effects are good collection for DJing, and don't force you to leave the app).

Timestretch seems okay in LP-5 from my initial testing, but haven't worked it rigorously.

Regardless, without binging on IAP soundpacks, both are more than cheap enough to have around.

Here is what I have found in the days and couple times I used the app.

His other apps are the easiest to use with it.

For instance, MO DRUMS and BASSLINE export directly into this app. So as far as bassline and beat, you can almost keep it real time edit per play type scenario.

I am trying to find a synth type app that also flows directly into this app. I am using it on my IPhone exclusively at this point.

If anyone finds a synth app that directly exports into this app, let me know.

So is it AB compatible?

It doesn't show up in the AB input list at all for me on my iPhone.

I'm also hoping that the 5 tracks each have their own AB track. But I bet they don't.
