output works .... Other apps works... Just beatmaker with oputdated autdiobus is not working at all as input.. So recording through effects impossible to beatmaker , this ruined my workflow... Any workarounds ? Is it just me ? Or nobody use this crap ? Or nobody updated to ios 9.0.1 who use beatmaker whith audiobus ? Silly me , I did not want to be first in this, really...

  • oh, you're probably not alone. I don't use BM2, but I'm sure one of our crack technician's should be along shortly. :)

  • I used to use BM2, but hate the on screen keyboard, so it's gathered dust. I'm on iOS 9.01 so will try it later. No doubt another app for the problem folder lol.

  • @Renetik

Nope I can't seem to record into BM2 via AudioBus. Will try some more options tomorrow.

  • Mmhhh, Intua said they make a huge announcement in september..... today is the last day of september. Deadlines are never fit in the music world (...where is the promised new beepstreet synth).

  • Wonder if it's a similar issue to the one in Auria @Fruitbat1919 - see the other iOS 9 incompatible apps post. Just updated there re: Auria.

  • iOS 8 all the way... As a rule i live on the bleeding edge, but not this time. I will be the last holdout, i just love how things are actually working finally and i'm not going to knock it.

  • Same here. Can't route/record anything in to beatmaker through audiobus. Brand new Ipad mini that had ios9 already installed. Total waste of money until things get fixed

  • This most likely requires an update of Beatmaker 2. Not sure if it is going to happen soon because Beatmaker 3 is going to arrive soon and INTUA are probably focusing on that release.

  • Wasn't Intua suposed to make a big annoucement in September??

It's already October but then again they did not mention what year...

  • iOS 9 probably changed their schedule.

  • So glad my wife had a shit load of grass delivered......

......it is Astro turf though......won't seem to light......

Yep.... but there was also a new beepstreet synth promised for august or so.... deadlines are unreal in the music biz ;)

I'm waiting for the new 'beepstreet-synth' too hoping that the step-sequencer will be well thought out with rest and tie buttons.(ie. better than the one in Sunrizer which is more like a real-time phrase sequencer).

    Lol... so right :D

  • Not cool for intua to drop beatmaker 2 users in the dark just cos they're focused on selling beatmaker 3. If that's the case. I won't be buying the new version if this is the kind of customer loyalty/support they see as acceptable. Be nice for them to reply to posts on their forum. Kinda sick of these companies thinking they can keep users guessing about things or abandoned just to try and maximise their business model.

  • Who knows maybe BM3 will be like FL3 will, a completely new app and a free update for loyal customers :)

  • Be nice for intua to let people know that then...

  • Intua might be too far into BM3 to warrant upgrading BM2, especially if BM2 users get a free upgrade. Might be wishful thinking though.

  • Whats more alarming is how easy apps get broken with each Apple update, its plain ludicrous. How Apple manages to do this is borderline genius.

If there will be a free bm3 upgrade then I have no problem with intua. If not then just the worst customer support ever. No announcement or news update or anything. Ios updates breaking stuff is no different to Windows or any other os update breaking stuff. It happens. Good companies/developers keep on top of it..

The reality for me is i updated from Windows 8 to 10 and everything music app i have still just works. I guess i have been lucky.

Every update on iOS has been a car crash in terms of apps breaking, must be a developer 'Nightmare'.

  • On the app store there's no mention of 'audiobus support' for bm2. I'm sure there was before no? If so then they've sneakily removed it. Which = Snydy company. No announcement to users, just covering their backs legally in case anyone buys the app expecting audiobus to work. Zero refunds. So anyone that watches a YouTube video of bm2 working with audiobus, and then buys it and finds it doesn't work, is basically screwed.. Nice. If this is the case I suggest everyone boycott bm3 and support companies that care about their customers, not just their customers cash..

I dunno man. Is it that hard for companies to get beta ios and to speak to companies that are making software that interacts with their own and then get it all to work by time of public ios rollout? Possibly... But that's why what we pay for right? And to be honest I just want intua to make an announcement so I know what's happening. It's not hard. They took my money easy enough...

Every time I look at my iPad full of amazing apps that I've bought for absolutely ridiculously low prices, I count my blessings.

Beatmaker 2 has been with us almost since the beginning of IOS (with plenty of free updates in between), maybe it's time to move on?

Beatmaker 2 is dead? Long live Beatmaker 3! Thanks Intua for your amazing software.

  • Don't get me wrong. I love bm2. And hyped for bm3. I just hate how companies are so cloak and dagger about certain things and leave customers totally in the dark. Just make an announcement already!

  • Fair point.

The Version history still has the Audiobus updates etc.

IAA integration is still there and pretty comprehensive dependant on your needs.

  • I would hardly call 8 to 9 a 'car crash'. Most of my 200 plus apps either work or have been updated already.

I have around 10 problem apps, and some of those have not worked properly or been updated since I bought my iPad Air2.

Fair enough. But no announcement etc when things aren't working is really bad form. Makes me feel like I really don't wanna pick up bm3 just on principle... Though my principles tend to buckle pretty easy on stuff like this ;)
