I would hardly call 8 to 9 a 'car crash'.

    I meant updates in general.

The worst thing for me is that casualties are always expected.

Anyone able to get Nanostudio to record Animoog via Audiobus on iPhone....not working here latest iOS update :(

  • Deja vu or what..... Didn't we go through all this when BM2 wasn't a free upgrade from Beatmaker

  • The Beatmaker model seems to be creating a new app when they come out with significant changes to Beatmaker. To be fair, Beatmaker 2 has been out for many years now and there are plenty of apps that have come and gone during that time without working on the next version of iOS.

  • My take on updates is the following:

Devs should if at all possible keep their app up to date and usable until it is replaced by a significant new version.

Devs should if at all possible keep their app working and usable for at least two full iterations of iOS.

Devs should if at all possible keep sound banks and IAPs transferable if they are to be in the new version.

Devs should make people aware of the iOS versions their product is for.

Devs should offer upgrade pricing or incentives if possible. People who feel you care about your product and about them as consumers, wil.....well, consume!

  • I have no issues with BeatMaker 2 so far with iOS 9.0.2 iPhone 5

Yeh agreed on all this. Plus I think developers should support old version for at least a short time after they announce/release the next version. People may need to archive material etc. And people need to decide whether to update operating systems etc. But above all developers should at least just let customers know what is going on.. It's so easy no!? Really bad form on this from Intua, unless I've missed something somewhere and they've made announcements concerning things not working properly?
