  • Ha,Ha,Qute!

  • Awesome vid haq. This app got to you. :-)

  • Ladies and gentlemen, it's ingenious, he likes it.

  • I am diving in . Should be just about loaded.

  • The app looks cool, but why you dont play more with that c'mon please!!

Cool thanks for the scoop regarding inter app audio but does it sync up as an instrument or just pipe the audio in as a generator?

Edit: so i just jumped in and got it. No iaa instrument support but that midi sync is very solid!

  • The last time I saw a blissful look like that on someone's face they were high on some very expensive (refined) powder. Much more expensive than 9.99 and it was a one time thing and it wore off. So, yeah, I bought it and I have to say after ten minutes my one concern was that there aren't enough blank init slots (which I shall bring up with Mr. A.).

  • I think (Not totally sure) that's because to allow midi program change messages for the patterns that's the maximum number of patterns allowed at 128. You can delete the factory presets too I believe.

I'm very happy it's got this feature on first release although I've not tested it yet. :)

  • This is what's so great about IOS music: brilliant dudes like Alexander Juggernaut dreaming up musical beasts like this! Totally unique, unlike any app I have, and can do things no other app can do. IOS music is a TRIP! Cheers to Alexandernaut!!!

  • Wow this looks amazing

  • @Kaikoo LoL! Love that wordplay, thanQu! ;)

  • @ecamburn Yup! Just one minute with the app turned my brain into whipped vanilla flavoured cream! :)

  • @Tritonman I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it! :)

  • @Aphex I'm sorry the vid is so short, but it's a first impression vid. It was late when I recorded it, and I will be going in deeper with the app in future vids. ;)

  • @AudioGus I tested loading up Fugue machine new into both AudioShare and then Cubases using IAA. It only "pipes in" as a audio generator. With Cubases I couldn't record the MIDI from the app either. But as you say the sync is great! Tried and tested with lots of synthesisers.

  • @JohnnyGoodyear You can delete factory preset in there, tried and tested by me. And as Carnbot says, I to believe it has to do with midi program change messages. I'll have to check with the dev though. :)

  • @Noisehorse This has been a great day for iOS musicians, getting a tool like Fugue Machine. I am totally in love with be with it!

  • @Thesim It is! It's great, awesome, ingenious, innovative and very inspiring! :)

  • Does Fugue Machine support global 'playable' trasposition of the 'sequences'?(I see there are transpose options that could be used for chords etc.).

Another neat option would be to select 'sections' of the sequence for each of the playheads. (This would make it possible to do multiple melodies on one screen). I used to sequence my Juno-106 with 3 different parts (Lower, mid & upper) so the midi-channel limitation is no problem :D

Is it possible to automatically offset the playheads? (For echoes and stuff?).

This app looks very tempting indeed!

  • @jakoB_haQ exactly my sentiments. This is by far the greatest innovation since Audiobus and Soundprism.

  • Playing it with Nave and noticed you often forget it is still playing fugue because it starts sounding more warm and dreamy. Pads sound surprisingly warm . I was wondering given the slow attack of many pad sounds how that would sound and was pleasantly surprised.

I haven't got Cubasis, but I can usually pickup MIDI controlled apps using Audiobus channels into separate tracks. Alternatively you can record multiple MIDI apps using MiMix live into Audioshare, using a setup like I had here last night:

Important thing to remember is to load the apps into Audiobus first, then boot up Fugue Machine and select the MIDI option to control everything. You can then record the output into Audioshare without the feedback bug cropping up.

You've convinced me again to buy another app. :-) iOS really is a great platform for new and creative ideas for music software.

  • If I get your meaning I think that it does and it is the slider to the far right. It transposes everything.

  • One word, impressive.

I don't feel at this time I can accurately give details on the settings and such.

Z3Ta and Sunrizer never sounded as good. Amazing to comprehend that it was 1 app and 1 preset doing it. For those who understand programing synths, this is going to be sick. Attack and Release have now become instruments in their own isolating way.

In an IOS world of CPU limits and memory restrictions, an app capable of maximizing the output of apps in this matter is a huge benefit.

The paradigm has shifted, expanding potential once again.

    This was my first thought....

I was able to record MIDI from Fugue into Cubasis if that's what you meant. Works as expected.

That's the feature, found it once I got the app, thanks!
Maybe we'll see different 'sections' for each playhead in a future update, so far it's very easy to get hypnotised by the app :D
