Which version? I'm on 8.3 and it's fine - might be worth reinstalling the app if rebooting doesn't help.
@Samu There is no way to globally transpose stuff by octaves. But you can go into settings and change the key that a scale is playing.
When it comes to the players, Doug woods has been talking with the developer Alexander. He is currently working on some way to assign individual MIDI channels to the players. That way each player could control a synth. Would make for some pretty interesting jams.
You can offset players by starting them individually but they are locked into beats.
@o_imseng I'll be making series of top five lists at the end of this year and regarding innovation, Audiobus Remote and Fugue Machine are definitely contenders.
@Tritonman I know what you mean, I too forget that Fugue Machine is conducting the show.
Yesterday I lost an hour when Running Thor and Nave together with Fugue Machine. I was playing a 5 note piece at 80 Bpm. Thor was playing a glistening bell preset and Nave a slow spacey pad. Beautifully brilliant! I'll have to make a live jam video.
@monzo Yup! That is how I usually connect my apps when working with MIDI and Cubasis.
I just wanted to try to use Fugue Machine in IAA mode and get the MIDI to work since it had IAA support. Gotta test every possible solution so I know what to tell people when they ask. However in the end, I usually learn from others telling me how to do it. Love it! =D
@mkell424 I know you're going to have a LOT of fun with it!
@Samu I was wrong! I didn't see it, but as @AudioGus says, the slider to the right transposes everything. =D
@RustiK I feel you! Fugue Machine is making every other app you connecti to it positively shine!
Fugue Machine is one of the greatest app conductors for iOS musician.
I always do. Thanks for the demo.
I've been running it into Thor and Gadget at 4 BPM. 4. Want some slowly evolving landscapes?
THE PEOPLE DEMAND A SAMPLE!
Bought the app based on the few videos, including this one, that made this app out to be really excellent. Well it is, but one caution that I have is that it uses quite a bit of horsepower to run it, so if you have any plans in the future to use the 4 heads to drive 4 separate apps to make sure you have an iPad that can run it. Probably it would take an iPad4. My iPad2 can just about run Fugue and another lightweight synth. It cannot coexist with Animoog, too much clipping.
Maybe it is the synth itself (heavy polyphony happens with this app) that uses Cpu load,
I say that because I can't imagine a midi sequencer to be cpu heavy
therefore using 4 synths and splitting all that polyphony could not use much more cpu than using just one ... someone with more knowledge could confirm ?
At the moment each connected app is playing all four sequences, so with four apps connected that's sixteen running at once. Splitting this should get it down to four, which would hopefully ease the load and give a bit more space around the thing
@FlightManual I read your comments and went, " I NEED to try that! =D
@fprintf I have the same thoughts as @pierre and @monzo. Try using less polyphony and also lighter apps, see what happens.
Funny... this happens to me everytime I watch your videos.
@FlightManual This is exactly what I love about sharing. Thank you for the inspiration!
