As usual I can't keep my finger away from the update button, installing on both iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5...
yay, a guinea pig! Please report back =D
So far I'm pleased with the iOS9.0.2 as it solves some Core Audio issues that were bugging some apps from Retronyms
iOS9.1 will most likely be the same and also enable the app-thinning/slimming...
Working fine here on Air2 and Iphone6 so far. None of my apps seem to be functioning any different from before.
Working fine here on iPhone 5 and Air 2...
Time to update the computers too
Coincides with El Capitan update that should fix AU problems too, so I'm in. App store has been effed on all devices since El Cap, so I'm sure they had this update on the fast track.
still only 44.1khz over lighting to mac
I don't understand what is going on. They said iOS 9 is 24/48khz and 5.1
and what do we get 44.1 and stereo ???
@lala Could be that the 5.1 48Khz is hardware dependent too and only works on the newer devices?
I will test again after 10.10.1 is installed and see if I can change the sample-rate in the audio/midi settings when the iOS device is connected.
@samu: yes, please have try too and report back, i only get 44.1 over inter device audio, no matter what i do
its an a7 iPad so thats not to bad i think ...
@lala My iOS stuff (iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5 both running iOS9.1) still maxes out at 44.1Khz 16-bit when looking at available sample-rates in the Audio/Midi settings in Mac OS X 10.11.1.
We can always hope that iOS 9.1.1 and OS X 10.11.1 will enable higher sample-rates when the devices are connected over usb-lightning cable...
Multi track DAW has 48k sample rate in its settings page, is that record only?
all good here on Air 2 and 5s.Definitely snappier than before and all apps still work (the ones i tested at least).
I read that this is the quickest x.1 iteration in iOS history and is probably quite buggy. The reason they have to push it out is because it's required for the new Apple TV.
Just sayin
Don't worry - make music!
And I've just read iOS 9.2 is in Beta, because of the Watch. Still staying on iOS 8 edition
+1
Lol. The way it's going, the time Christmas is here, Apple will be on iOS 9.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999.......... And that will be for the Pencil............ :-0
I love all the new emojis. Especially the middle finger, oh how much I've longed to flip people off via emoji.
The following from an article in Forbes. I'm still waiting for a bit, maybe until 9.2:
In contrast to Apple’s past tradition of sliding in crucial bug fixes and hoping no-one notices, iOS 9.1 spells them out:
Fixes an issue that could cause Calendar to become unresponsive in Month view
Fixes an issue that prevented Game Center from launching for some users
Resolves an issue that zoomed the content of some apps
Resolves an issue that could cause an incorrect unread mail count for POP mail accounts
Fixes an issue that prevented users from removing recent contacts from new mail or messages
Fixes an issue that caused some messages to not appear in Mail search results
Resolves an issue that left a gray bar in the body of an Audio Message
Fixes an issue that caused activation errors on some carriers
Fixes an issue that prevented some apps from updating from the App Store
Improved stability including CarPlay, Music, Photos, Safari, and Search
Improved performance while in Multitasking UI
In short that’s problems with: Calendar, Game Center, app updating, app content, messaging, carrier data and email viewing, downloading, sending and search. In addition to this there’s recognition that CarPlay, Music, Photos, Safari, and Search have been unstable and multitasking sluggish.
Here's the entire article:

Well I went for it and its working fine so far. Had to update all the Korg Gadget related stuff, which were hefty downloads (I have a rubbish Internet connection).
I think that is a good move from Apple to state what they fixed. Funny to write an article only to state that saying they fixed it means admitting it was broken.
I think we should encourage any kind of transparency from Apple.
Ipad4 + ios 9.1= instant crashes with safari. I feared the device was bricked. Unbelievable this piece of s**tty update got released! This is NOT amusing at all. When I first got the ipad 4 it worked like a charm, now I think ios got full of bloatware. I for sure keep my eyes on the MS surface as my next portable device!
What web pages are you experiencing the crashes on @Egz? I would be willing to test and confirm with my iPhone...
@Egz I've been experimenting with Safari in 9.1 (on iPhone 6 Plus), and I am not experiencing any problems. Try the following:
Open Settings
Open the Safari Settings
Select Clear History and Website Data
Sometimes corrupt cache data can cause problems. Let us know how things go...
no problems with safari even on ipad mini
I can't get any sound from Magellan or Nave via Audiobus into Cubasis iOS 9.1 and iPad Air 2
Just tried a fresh Cubasis track and I managed to record both via AudioBus. Air 2 iOS 9.1
Just tested running both Nave and Magellan in input slots in AB with Cubasis in the output slot and they both record just fine into Cubasis (Air 2, iOS9.1), don't know if a reboot will help here...
Any comments from iPad3 owners?
