Oh I got it: I was looking at the $5 one, XT. That one continues to receive updates...not sure why he keeps the $1 one on the store, trial deal maybe?

They just abandoned it for the new version, which I think was identical apart from AB support. Guess they just haven't bothered to take it down.

I'd say for the occasional cigarette money but cigs are $10 a pack these days I think

  • I love all the cigarettes I no longer smoke...

Could have quite the country/parody/anthem on your hands there ... "To all the cigs I smoked before" :)

Could go on and on as I am often told off for (STILL!) unconsciously referring to ciggies as fags. Old habits, as it were.

  • How do you guys organize your custom patches? Or back them up? Ifunbox?

It is no mono synth! You can set it to poly but the cpu hit is huge!

If that is the case, then things have changed. I would be happy if you are correct. :-)

Perhaps but it still sounds amazing for a mono synth, not able to get poly to work on my air.

I've never been able to get any poly out of it. The documentation seems to indicate it was designed to be mono (even though the desktop version is poly).

  • This is how mine is setup. It changes with each patch. So you have to go in there an enable it. I will try with an external midi controller, but it sounds great to me. If only they could fix the patch issue. It is brutal.

  • This is how good Crystal XT sounds. I recorded it with my external midi controller in Poly mode, audiobus thru AltiSpace reverb, and AUFX-Dub delay. Hope you guys like it....

  • I agree about the patch issue. It is so non-intuitive and I don't know where my custom patches go. It really should follow what are pretty common standards these days for file management. It's really the only thing I don't like about this app.

  • I'm amazed how deep and lushious this synth still sounds! Hope you like this short Crystal Strings Patch demo:
