Split Screen
Just starting a topic on this in the hope people may express interest to Devs.
I've just had Different Drummer running through Muckraker in the two different split screens and both apps are adjustable all the time.
Different Drummers Zentaface (hope I've named that ok lol) works ok in 50/50 split, but works even better in 70/30 split with Muckraker.
Please Devs, if you can, use split screen, it makes tweaking effect apps so much more direct.
Anyone else found some useful splits?

Different Drummer / Rooms works well.
Split screen requires Air 2 or greater...right?
I'm not 100% sure on that one. I believe Air2 is required for the full split screen, but I think some other models can do the part split. Maybe someone else can clue us in on this one?
What hw/sw are you using @Fruitbat?
iPad Air 2 iOS 9.1
Thanks. How do you initiate split screen mode? My latest iPad is a mini retina, so I'm doubtful.
Musix Pro does split screen. so I said that in new Gadget Module topic.
AB Reomote does too. That is all. Oh, forget to say, Midiflow joins the split screen too.
So do both apps need to do split screen - or just one app needs to and then you can load any app at all into the other half?

Both apps need to support it and older apps will probably not be updated. It requires an immense amount of work to re-do the whole UI of pixel perfect apps with lots of knobs and stuff like that. Apps supporting size classes and autolayout have an easier time but most music apps don't.
Once you have an app running, slide your finger in from the right side of the screen. It shows which apps can be opened.
The new app can then be adjusted and then slid back off screen to adjust the main app. The main app will be greyed out while you are using the 2nd app. Works much faster than swapping apps to adjust effect app settings, so I hope many Devs adopt this.
If you using an Air2, you can then slide the 2nd app over and it can share the screen with other split screen enabled apps 50/50. I've also noticed that DD, let's you use its Zentaface at the same time as Muckracker in 70/30 mode.
I will have to get Musix Pro now.
Just one app! so far Musix Pro does a great performance job for Korg Gadget!
Gadget does not do split screen, but it is very good experience working with Musix Pro to record your music notes to Gadget at will.
See attached photo

If you want to quickly adjust an effect app that supports it, then the main app you have open does not need to. The main open app will just grey out while you open the tab with the effect app on it.
That is for 50/50 split I guess!
One app spliting should look like my photo, 70/30 spliting.
Cool. So Gadget just gets greyed out and loses a bit of it;s interface on the right hand side.
I too will have to get Musix Pro too and have a go .
I guess it will come down to how quick and seemless it is switching between Gadget to tweak something and Musix Pro in one quart of the screen to play something...
Or as Kaikoo has shown with Musix Pro.
Different Drummer / Muckraker both working in 70/30 mode.

That is right! Musix Pro now works well with Gadget, I can comfirm it for split screen view! it save you time without swapping apps for viewing by messing around! Especially useful for person who has only one iPad (Air2).
Really would like TC-Data to get this!!!!
I prefer Midisteps has this split update feature.
I would like to see AudioBus remote work split screen for one iPad.
Audiobus Remote does split!
Can it then control the apps on the same iPad? I don't have it yet as only one iOS device.
No, It requires bluetooth, that means 2 devices
I think the Dev of Different Drummer has shown a way this can work for many apps. He made the Zentaface as an IAP. Other apps could do the same, to make an extension to the app to have use in split screen mode and still get back some development costs.
A similar app is needed for use on the one device in split. Would be most useful.
Imagine a synth app having a screen with adjustable knobs and sliders taking up half the screen and the other half being TC Data or Musix Pro.
