Wish i had the money..
I'll let you know if it is worth saving for
Are they making a 64gb?
I had assumed they were, but it doesn't look like it, they really should have made the 64GB the base model, too bad you can't edit a poll on here
I had to delete it and re-save.
If it was 64gb at the same base price, I would be tempted. As it is will wait see what iPad Air 3 brings, or get a Mac Mini instead.
Phew! £799 for the 128GB model. Might have to pace the floor a bit before ordering one of those.
Push2 is looking like better use of funds right now
So it's £220 more than an Air 2 128gb. That gets bigger screen. Faster processor, more ram and better speakers. I suppose that's not bad in Apple terms. I do think that they have missed an opportunity to reduce the whole iPad range prices by just £50. I think while the market slows (people are just not upgrading fast enough), Apple can keep the high end market image and still reduce price to push sales. Or they could scrap the 16gb starting point on all ranges but keep the starting price.
yeh, im in line for it tomorrow.
150$ more for 96G upgrade? That's interesting
Too bad I cannot be trusted with another line of credit.
Too big for me. I like my minis.
Since i miss my iPad a bit i would be interested but it´s just not enough value for so much money compared to other things.
From the pure music side which is the only use (o.k. at least 90%) i have for an iPad i would like that apple would made such events here too: http://www.bitwig.com/en/home/news-archive/berlin_surface_launch.html
If with Logic or another company... whatever. But we mostly see game developers on stage or now tools for graphics on iPad pro.... c´mon that apple could be more delicious
i am rly interested in this but i tried using ableton for track composition again after seeing the announcement of push2 and i still just can't do it, so i'm probably gonna get an ipad pro instead
It's certainly curious. The dual mode and rather huge boost in power is interesting. I actually want one, but I have doubts.
I would like one but will probably wait until the pro2. By then more pro centric apps should be out. Plus the 32gb model is an insult for a pro tablet and will hopefully be pulled next year, base should be 128 top 256 or more.
I really want one it's just that it doesn't have 3D Touch yet. It's a great feature on my 6S Plus. I've found it to be very handy.
I'll probably wait until they appear 2nd hand on Cowboom at a significantly reduced 2nd-user cost.
The Air2 is £559 on the UK store, so £240 cheaper if the Pro is £799. Though my £479 64gb is big enough for my use.
If I was in the market for a new iPad I'd probably consider it (though I'd need to factor in the cost of the Pencil thing) to double up as a graphics tablet. Need to try one out first though - for me the Air 2 is the perfect size and weight for armchair noodling - the Pro might just be that bit too big.
Basically I'd be paying twice as much as I did for my Air2 - not sure if I'd get that one past Mrs Monzo
Yeah you're right, brain freeze moment. Think PC World had £50 off lately.
I'm still going to wait see what the Air 3 brings, if not might still get a Mac Mini instead.
I've got the 64gb Air 2, but wished I'd got the 128, always having to delete stuff.
Me neither.
Does Mrs Monzo keep you both inline Mr Monzo and Johnny?

Not a woman to be trifled with (and, believe me, I'm partial to trifle...)
I think that's the reason I love iOS music making apps. Cheap as chips, so my wife never bats an eyelid at the prices. Even though I've spent more on apps over this year than my iPad cost, whoops.
Hold on tight my friend....
Where did you get that price from?
And how do you pre order - Apple UK site site still just says 'available November'
Some random Mac news site, can't remember which. Could be wrong.
I think pre-orders were supposed to start sometime today.
I would love to see the Pros new speaker system on an Air 3, even if it made it a tiny bit bigger. Please Apple don't make iPads any thinner.
My second monitor's a Cintiq, and an old one at that, so the minute it finally goes teats up I'm online looking. For that money it's going to have to do double duty. Hoping it isn't necessary until the next rev, though.
I think @MusicInclusive is right to wait for discards to end up on Cowboom, too. Like the Apple Watch, this thing just isn't going to be for everybody, and there will be deals to be had. Patience...
