Finally I meet someone more indecisive than myself. Welcome, but you're too late. It's gone back to the original non sale price.

She is a harsh and cruel mistress, the Goddess Appaholia, and not one to be taunted by the simple likes of us...

  • Still £7.99 UK..

  • when does the tempting price end?

  • no for you

Ha, I think 3 pages with only a handful of participants warrants a long drawn out discussion!

A clue is that I've bought all virsyn synths and haven't used them, but Poseidon seems different.

I've got most of them, and this one is very different. It took me a while to discover it's charms but once you do you're rewarded with rich, unique, and very versatile sounds. I really like it, and if it gets a sample import update I'll love it.

Ya gotta buy it. If this guys likes it, ya just gotta. This guy here is the prince of pole sitters, he practically codified it as an art form unto hisself etc. If'n he's happy all is well with mama.

I am happy with it - initially I wasn't particularly moved, and at times it can still sound like Addictive, but the inclusion of samples adds something a bit extra. If the dev adds sample import this could be something special, and really stand out amongst the crowd of synth apps. I think without that eventually it'll stop surprising me, but it'll still get a lot of use. Addictive does as I really like the Virsyn interfaces, so Poseiodon, with its versatility and rich sounding things is definitely going to earn its keep.

The litmus test for me is if a new app has made it's way into my current SOTM project - and in this case it's a definite yes - Poseidon is all over the new thing. Not always the case, I'm still to use apps like Thesys and Diode, for example, but this one completely dictated the direction of the new track.

    Just buy it ferchristsake.

Ha ha! Reminds me of this series of threads when this guy went through every single option over how and whether he should upgrade fron his iPad 2..

Still these discussions tend to turn into good group critiques of the product, when I have the patience to follow them, and can uncover features/ideas that I may not have bumped into otherwise.
