While you are at it,could you tell your friend Nadine also that Turnado in Auria still shows the old menus? Thanks
When developers are strapped for time they will test on latest and greatest therefore it makes sense to stay on the freshest iOS possible. I'm still on 8.4 but got an itch.
...and that Egoist would make a great Auria Pro plugin.
I spoke to Rim sometime ago about the frequency of plug-in updates.
WML have to wait until the plug-in company updates the Auria version, and then he updates Auria.
If it has the old menus when the Auria's are released, I'll have a word. (With Nadine)
That too, I'll mention that Egoist/all their apps would go well inside Auria and see what she says.
I'm just waiting to see what we are getting with the Auria's from the get go.
Added: I will remember these requests!
Yes it's tempting.. If it wasn't for Auria (not working with 9) (AB etc) and having iFunbox I most likely would have upgraded to 9 already.
The menus are the old ones even in the old version of Auria, not only in AP
Egoist (or Cyclops and Effectrix for that matter) will never happen as a native Auria plugin because it uses ipads full screen.Wouldn't work without a major rewrite of the UI.I asked about Effectrix in the past and Nadine replied this (oh,we are on a first name base as well...like anybody else who get a message from SB,lol. But we are also quite neighbours here in berlin )
I am looking for a little help please,
Because of the most welcome menu improvement in Turnado, I am now looking forward to having a fresh crack at these effects, The problem is that I have somehow lost the knob settings in all the presets (all eight knobs are set to zero on every preset) Is there a reset or option in settings that I can use to get back to the original preset levels (mix) I guess I can delete and reinstall but I would like to know what I did wrong so I don't do it again.
@banjofran: I'm not sure about the saving state (if it includes activated knobs etc...), but as a workaround you could make a dictator-setup with all the right knobs active, which could be then easily re-instated..., good luck, cheers, t
Thanks Buddy, I was starting to think nobody was going to see my question so I deleted and reinstalled Turnado. Now it appears that I imagined the presets were somewhat tweaked when I first bought Turnado, all knobs were still at zero after the reinstall. so I am sorry for wasting your time, however your suggestion to use the dictator looks like a useful shortcut.
My update looks the same as b4, and the menus are no bigger/better. what am i missing? I'm on 8 still...
I haven't updated yet - just rediscovered how awesome it is (and I never use that word), so don't want to mess anything up.
it is only the drop down menus that were changed. they used to be not only tiny but to make things worse, they selected on touch, not on release so were really bad. now they are large and easy to use, small change but great step in the right direction
Keep in mind, the version of Turnado in Auria is the PC/Mac version of the plugin, and thus will never be changed to have the iOS version's features.
At this point, it's much much more rational for sugarbytes to make the iOS version of turnado into an iOS 9 AU which it controls the release cycle of than to somehow alter the Auria version to be more iOS friendly and wait on Auria to upload that update.
What is confusing for people is that buying the iOS version of Turnado unlocks the version included in Auria, but they are not the same program, just a nice unlock and extra for Auria owners.

True dat ^.
If for example you save a preset in the stand-alone, you would not be able to open that preset in the Auria version, and vice versa. (Unless you use ifunbox blarblarblar..)
However, for an excellent (EXCELLENT!) fx unit, Turnado is hard to beat (on iOS).
It's the dogs meat and two veg. One of the first effects apps I bought, and like The Beatles being the first band I was into, sets a very high benchmark for everything that comes after.
I stopped using Turnado for a while due to the mountain of other FX I've bought recently catching my eye, but revisited it and delved deep into the edit panel a couple of days ago. The sounds I got out of it were staggering, and more impressive as when you as an effect in Auria you can run multiple instances.
I'm thinking of getting WOW. I'm guessing a lot of it is already covered by Turnado, but SugarBytes FX are just so damn good I've got to have it.

The other GREAT thing about running it/them via Auria is the control. With automation you can have these effects do exactly what you want with pinpoint precision.
Regarding WoW, if you have the rest of Sugar Bytes, you may aswel "av em all" as we say.
@King777 @monzo Good/essential point on automation. Until recently I only ever used Turnado/Wow in Auria and now fiddling with them as stand alones miss the ease of that aspect tremendously.
I think being able to automate, and run multiple instances makes WOW a sensible purchase for Auria users, and the UI is nice and straightforward for filter shenanigans
These type of apps and the way they work "together" are some dreams come true!
My "Turnado Tip" of the day: when working with T or certain other apps, try to find the Bpm (if it has one) of the sound/sample being effected, (even if it's a set of chords). You will get best results this way. (Unless of course you are looking for that type of off effect).
Would be cool if you could patch directly into the synthesis path of the new fabfilter synth, replacing the filter.
Yeah, where have you been? Lol. The Twin 2 that comes with Auria Pro.
I guess the word "new" threw ya.
I most definitely do!
Took WOW out for a stroll last night, never really used it much before. (With all the other filters around) But after giving it some real focus, all I can say is... WOW!
It is very pleasing, tiny bit fiddly, zoom in/out, but the results insure it is definitely worthy of its name.
Eeek!
