Imini or Animoog?

I can buy only one. Which one do you prefer? Thanks for your input!

  • Amimoog, but neither would be my first choice.

  • If I did not have them both Animoog would definitely be my first choice!

    Animoog.

Only cos I don't have imini. Amongst other things I Love the keyboard playability in Animoog very expressive.

Edit: 3rd time for this comment, the other duplicates have disappeared now.

  • Thanks, really appreciated.

  • Are the IAP's on sale?

  • I've had Animoog on my wish list for sometime now. At $10, if I like vintage sounding atmospheric synths, I should just go ahead, right?

Don't know when or if you would ever get it this ^ cheap agiain.

Added: In Dec 2013 I got the iPad version for £2.99. Now that was a deal! I didn't realise it was cheap until the price went back up. (£20 plus)

I had a look and it's on sale now!!. Priced at $10.I'm in

  • Animoog. The only edge I give to iMini is for easy and quick synth basslines

  • Animoog and then find/beg another five pounds and get iMini as well. It's what we do.

  • I dunno, if Animoog's that cheap, I'd say put the fiver on an iap pack or two. Some of the few iaps offered that I feel are almost essential for rounding out the application and unlocking quite a bit more potential for designing patches.

  • I'll go for Animoog and leave Imini for now...mmmm
    Thanks everyone!:)

You made the right choice. Animoog is a solid and rich sounding synth that you can lose days playing with.

  • With Animoog for $10 (normally $30), go for that right now. That's the best discount I've seen since the app was first released. You can always grab iMini for $5 again around Christmas.

  • I felt like a fool for waiting so long to get Animoog- it really is a must buy- it sounds fantastic- goosebumps- and there are so many sounds- and the blades- easily the best controler on any app-

The only thing disappointing about Animoog is that if you already have the iPhone version and bought all the in-app purchases, they won't transfer to the iPad version. That's really shady for a company like Moog. There's nothing written about it in the App Store description or on their website. So I figured it would be wise to warn anyone with the iPhone app, and also encourage them to email Moog through their website to sort it out.

  • Yeah, price of a cup of coffee and all that, fine, but I can't help feeling a bit miffed at the prospect of re-buying a pack I already have on my phone, and for basically one sound at that. (Broken Leslie in the GD pack, love it.)

If you can send them an email, I would definitely appreciate it. I figure if enough people complain about the issue, the more inclined they would be to resolve it. They have a legacy and a reputation to uphold, and I'm sure when that's taken into consideration, we will all be better off.

They can't be "restored" because Animoog and Animoog for iPhone are two completely separate apps. There's nothing "shady" about it. If you do a bit of research, however, you can find the solution to moving them from one app to another.

I suppose that makes sense being that they're two separate apps. But I just wish they were more forthcoming about the issue. I haven't found any solution to successfully moving the IAPs yet... only a couple of loose suggestions which haven't been confirmed and haven't worked for me so far.

  • Bought and sounds fantastic. Thanks again:-)

  • Bandwagon jumping: 1) animoog 2) email apple about the IAP issue, not Moog. There's no legit way around it.

Well, Moog might be able to offer the IAPs as an "Animoog subscription" type thing where subscription levels determine which IAPs you get but that would require them to create and connect to leveled user accounts on their site and all of the headache that entails. Hardly worth it from their perspective. Apple should just fix this.

  • Yeah, the solutions alluded to upthread—I think—rely on features and file structures that have since been removed/changed, no? Ah well, I put my Black Friday savings into in-app purchases and came out ahead anyways

If Apple won't fix this, I should try and get a refund. I'm not paying twice to get all my timbres. So this app has become useless to me.

  • Animoog, no hesitation

  • Can I confirm - no discount on IAPs right now?
