How did you get this connected? I’ve tried standalone and AUM and nothing. Thanks.

Via Virtual MIDI channel in Loopy Pro. I also had no luck with standalone, Funk Drummer didn't see Ting.
Even in LP is a little bit tricky. Although I have my project saved I have to run FunkDrummer at first and set 'Send notes'
    .

    Greatly appreciated. Off to experiment.

Our bro @McD recently did a great track using Lumbeats to drive melodic instruments. Maybe he can shed light on the midi connections.

The Lumbeats Drummers all have a MIDI configuration page and you can run more than one and put the MIDI output on different channels. I usually point the MIDI outputs at AUM (destination) which can be used in the DAW as AUM Source.

3 Lumbeats MIDI out manipulated with Rozeta Scalers:
    1. Rock DM
    2. Mid East Drummer
    3. Funk Drummer

Do you know if Lumbeats are active on AB/LP forum, or if they repy on their web page forum?
I tried to sumbit a request for “Loop” to stay on when you switch songs.
It would be neat to switch songs with a foot pedal

Last active here some time in December 2024.

I think I looked them up on Facebook and contacted via Messenger when I needed to get in touch, so maybe just search Facebook for Lumbeat (if you use it)

Hey! Funk Drummer crashed and won’t open (iPad Pro, 10,5, iPadOS 17.7.10) just as I was finishing the drum patterns for the final song on my next record. I already turned the iPad off and on again twice, and nothing changes. Do you know what I could do other than reinstall the app and lose all the drum patterns I’ve created?

Have a great Saturday and thanks in advance!

You can go to the Lumbeat discord server and post this into bug-reports channel.

Do you mean it won't open at all, even on its own, and not in a host. What specifically happens when you try to open it? What device and OS version?

One thing you could try is "offloading" the app and then opening it, which will result in the app being redownloaded without losing data. You can do this by going to device Settings > General > Storage and then scrolling down to find Funk Drummer in the list. Tap it then select Offload App (not Delete App) and wait until it finishes. (Note: never turn on Offload Unused Apps in storage settings.)

Then open the Funk Drummer in standalone, which will cause it re-download.

This should never remove data, but it's strongly recommended to be sure your device is fully backed up to iCloud or a computer just in case.

Thank you so much to both @filo01 and @wim! Although I ended up deleting and reinstalling the app, both suggestions were unknown to me and I’ll use them regularly - specially since Funk Drummer came back with another weird behavior once I reinstalled it, changing the accents and arrangements to the drum patterns when in Song Mode even at 0% jamming.

My IPad Pro is considerably old (circa 2017, 10.5 inches, forever stuck in iPadOs 17.7.10), but the same thing happened when I tried using FD on my iPhone 12. After offloading the app in both devices without results, I reported it on the dischord server.
