This is a nice interface now, what do the pads represent though? No names for them?
Beautiful!
And in less that 10 days, excellent!
The increased size of the selecting buttons very welcomed.
Yeah the pads are a bit of a mystery. Loaded Dr 80's "kit", no sound.
These kits don't have sounds mapped on every key, so there's that, but..
Some transposing is needed from the factory.
Still, Looking Great! (Already sounded great for me).
I get " Synthmaster Player is not compatible with this iPad "when I try to update. iPad 3.
@Ben I installed the app on an iPad 2 running iOS 9.1 and it wasn't really functional as it requires more of the CPU than it can deliver. Don't know that an iPad 3 would fare any better.
@Paul I commented on another thread that since I bought the Pro upgrade the CPU usage has gone through the roof. Guess it's time to go get that Air2.
Only 15 to 25 percent on an Air 1 cpu. Hopefully I can afford a couple more preset packs before the end of December. I have been using this app a lot and love the sound.
I have them all. What ones do you still want to buy?
Some have been slightly redundant, so maybe i can save you couple bucks prior.
So now it works on iOS 8 , but how about cpu usage? People mention it has radically increased. Back to normal now with fix?
Edit: There is another thread
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/11215/synthmaster-great-update-gui-but-too-many-bugs#latest
My Air 1 is showing between 15 and 25 percent but I am not sure what it showed prior to the update but no stuttering on any patches .
iPad 4 is now able to install app from store.
I get around 40% per Patch on my ipad mini 2 retina. Not very useful on its own. Will have to check how the CPU usage is when using in Audiobus. My 40% are when it is running as a IAA Instrument in Auria Pro.
That sounds like yet another Auria Pro bug. Synthmaster used via IAA in Cubasis is still much lower . Actually seems lower then stand alone but it depends on the patch nothing approaching what you are getting for sure.
Yet another reason I find the rock solid stability of Cubasis so refreshing.
And that is just playing a single note arp I will email the developper of Synthmaster.
It seems more likely an Auria Pro issue given it works much better in Cubasis. If you list a few of the presets from the factory list I would be happy to test them for you to be sure.
My experience, it has NOT radically increased CPU.
For instance, this morning I used it for 2 hours straight on Audiobus. I ran Synthmaster as input, IMaschine2 as input, Turnado as the effect for IMaschine2 all running into Cubasis. I doubt it would have worked if I had Auria running.
In fact, I feel that it is actually using less or at least what it was using it is doing it more efficiently.
This update from Synthmaster has confirmed once again that Synthmaster is the champ. The best synth available as a VST and now as well on IOS.
First Arp Preset of Factory Bank 2.7 by Ayin Zahev
Only 25 or 26 percent in Cubasis thankfully.
That's what i thought would happen. I see what Rim says to this.
MIDI channel selection seems to be broken.
Air2/8.4.1
Not sure now what patch given there are none from Ayin listed in the 2.7 bank? Perhaps you could name the patch to test?
I'll do that later. Havent got my iPad on me right now.
I installed a fresh copy. I had some packs but somehow I cannot see if all packs a restored even so I clicked on restore and saw downloads starting. Bought and not bought have the same colour in the list.
The ones you have purchased move to the top of the bank list after downloading.
I think I've found a bug in the newest update. I bought a couple of the bank bundles, and the banks have moved to the top, and they work, but I still get the prompt to "Buy Now!" for $3.99 each. I would feel MUCH more comfortable if they said "Purchased" since they are part of the bundle purchase.... Does that make sense to anyone? Does anyone else see this? Hopefully the developer is on there and can confirm. I'll be happy to give more information......
Edit: @lbiyikoglu
Yep that's what I saw. Very confusing. I hope it gets fixed.
I saw that, it was confusing but the bundles says "purchased". For a minute thought the app wasn't restoring my purchases.
I just noticed the pitch bend range is way too much, and the Bend Range under Menu Settings seems to have no effect, so this looks like a bug to me.
I mentioned yesterday in the other SynthMaster thread (about the bugs), that since the update, the pitch dose not return to where it was (0). It's a fraction of a semitones out, after releasing the wheel.
After I shut down and relaunched the app the SECOND time I was able to program.
@Rustik, single channel selection is broken, so you program what? confused....
