Mailed it to [email protected] Have a look at request 6017
  • FYI - Update is out - v 2.0.1

  • Updated - still no Fabfilter 1 or 2. I'm aware of the fix (deleting, reinstalling) but was hoping to avoid the hassle. I have iPad air with current IOS.

  • This update fixes the issue with FabFilter Twin2 and One not appearing, but only for new upgrades. There was no way to do it for existing upgrades that already had the issue.

So I have to risk everything to get something I paid for. I guess I'll have to fork over for the presets since that seems to be the safer route. I don't know anything about code so this is incomprehensible to me. Not a big deal. I'd rather pay for more drumagog samples though.

To ease your mind a little, the presets are very good. I used them in the beta and bought them when released. I generally don't buy or use presets but these are fantastic.

Also, deleting and reinstalling is pretty easy, just back up your projects using ifunbox and drag them back in when auria installs. Restore purchases will bring everything else back. If you have your own ir or gog files you'll need to back this up too, which is generally a good idea anyway.

  • I haven't said there is risk in the presets. I haven't said I don't know how to delete and re-install. But I read someone, I think JohnnnyGoodyear? lost 30 gigs of work. That's my concern. I don't see why they can't just fix it.

  • @JohnnyGoodyear was and still is an idiot. And he did lose a shitload of stuff and for all his brave face he's pretty distraught (at himself) about it, but it was because a) he was impatient and b) he didn't really understand how he was preparing to fuck himself.

*grabs pitchfork and torch... Then puts them down realizing it was @JohnnyGoodyear himself... calling himself an idiot ;-b XD

  • some of the forum members have started a JG-spawned mystic cult that involves ritually deleting all their projects & samples on every third new moon.

@Rim, I have also had CPU overload message with one midi track on my iPad Air using Twin Two, to be honest I can't remember the patch, but there was no effects on it and when i look at my CPU it was showing just around 18 to 20 %.
I found it strange, but there seems to be a bug.

That doesn't necessarily sound like a bug to me, even one heavy patch can peak the CPU (we found several Twin patches that did this quite easily).  It's a very serious synth.  We asked FabFilter about this and they let us know how powerful it is, and how it's pretty easy to overload the CPU with certain patches.

And CPU usage typically doesn't "creep up" slowly, it peaks.  So things may sit at 20% or so, then all of a sudden a peak will come in at 80%.  This is the way a lot of audio plugin and synths work - the usage isn't consistent.  That's why it's a good idea to measure CPU usage with the CPU MAX mode in Auria.

In any case, like I mentioned, it's still early days for Auria 2, so any time you get a CPU overload, take a look at the project and see if there's a pattern to what you're using in that project.  If it's typically happening with a particular Twin 2 patch, or Lyra, etc, let me know.  There may indeed be something that needs tweaking.

Rim, I have found some of the Volcano arp preset e.g. arppegio4 keeping whining on the background after Stop pressed. I have to choose another preset to stop that subtle sound on the back. So I don't know why that happen?
    Interesting.  I'll let FabFilter know.
