Always best to delete the free app and buy the full, rather than upgrade the free. There's almost never any difference in cost, and you'll not have the free banner stuck there.

I own Amplitube iPhone and the iPad version. I have most of the in-apps, Fender, Vocalive, Recorder etc... I own the full version of iGrand Piano and it's 18 model upgrade.

I own the iRig guitar input and also the iRig midi.

IK Multimedia have a fair bit of my money in their hands, but I'll not buy anymore.

I fancy Sampletank and it's upgrade sounds, and also iLectric. I was considering too the iRigHD and iRigkeys for a mobile controller....but the thought of getting even more ridiculous popups to purchase items I have already paid for is just a joke.

But they'll not change it...as others have mentioned here, they've been asked to stop for over 3 years now with no change.

    +1 for JAMUP

This is not an attack on IK's representative here....just a case study should they want to pass on examples of customer experience to "IK's Brass".

  • Yeah it's too late for me, I didn't find out till after the fact that you can't get rid of the free thing. Oh well.

Don't own any ik stuff.(although some of it does look nice)
Was considering it but am turned off the brand by what I'm hearing.
You just sound a bit too extreme.
There's got to be a better way of building customer loyalty.??

Ampkit send me an email when something I've asked for is added to an app.
Once in a while I get a news letter letting me know of an offer or a deal or a new product.
I like that..,.a lot....I feel my custom is valued.

They ain't shoving it down my throat and they ain't treating me like a muppet.

I don't like the popups but I'm not going to stop buying or using their products because of it. I've had good experiences with their pc and iOS products. It's like having a girlfriend who cuts a smelly fart every once in a while. I'd rather it didn't happen when I'm around but it's not a deal breaker.

  • @cruise - every app or program has tech support on hand for a reason, and nobody has 100% success on every device/platform/system/etc. I understand your stance and opinion is 100% valid but I do feel that it is a bit unfair to consider anybody who has ever had a problem with an app or program a "beta tester". Best of luck in your endeavors.

  • ChrisG - thanks for your input again. The offer to speak directly is still open, as always. I simply state that we're behaving within the rules and boundaries where we post, and most users appreciate knowing about the releases, updates, and promotions so we will keep being respectful rule-abiding members of forums due to this appreciation.

@funjunkie - from you, it is not. I know that. From others, yes it absolutely is pointed directly at IK representatives. As always, we've been passing information in both directions as appropriate and with respect to the rules in place wherever this is done. I appreciate that you brought up your constructive points, as did many others. Being called an idiot and a liar, on the other hand - that's absolutely personal but I expect nothing less when the disruption of our rule-abiding communication is at an obsessive level from some. No matter, I won't be baited by that behavior any more but will continue the healthy bidirectional communication of constructive information and comments with joy a that is the best part of our participation in any community.

  • @Bootsy - we cannot change an app icon based on in-apps purchased or the like, unfortunately. If we could, we would. We can change in-app messages based on what you have registered and we do so. To reiterate a statement from earlier on, which may get lost amongst the kerfluffle, if you are getting any in-app messages about devices or apps you have registered with us do let support know and they will see what is going on there. Thank you.

  • I have seen popups for iRig Keys in Sampletank, despite owning it - and having registered it.

  • Same here @PhilW.

  • That's not supposed to happen. Did you register your iRig Keys? If you did and its still happening please contact support so we can fix that.
