This is new thread dedicated to Cream Mobile arpeggiator!
Cream Mobile is a MIDI arpeggiator/phraser application for Apple iPad mobile devices. It is intended to be used with external keyboard or sequencers to control its internal synth or external synths with generated MIDI. The application can also be used as a scratch pad for creating new songs using arpeggios and phrases easily with very precise audio/MIDI engine.
It includes very many necessary technologies every MIDI music app should have these days: Audiobus (generator), network, virtual MIDI ports, MIDI sync with host and slave mode, MIDI learn.
With Cream it’s very easy to create catching lead parts, bouncing bass lines, swinging drums and lots of other cool stuff. The only obstacle is your imagination
Cream isn't like any traditional MIDI arpeggiator or sequencer. It's a lot more. With simple and clever design it has been made easy to learn and operate. You can easily create cool performances by tweaking only couple of controls. If this is not enough for you there are so many ways you can control Cream that you never feel bored with it.
Kirnu Cream is good for everybody; hobbyists, professionals, producers, composers, mamas, papas... whoever needs a good MIDI performer to make their songs PERFECT!
If you are sick and tired of conventional MIDI arpeggiators, performers, sequencers you should try Cream and see yourself how it differs from the rest.

This thread has @Wally's photos for setting up Auria midi track.
I think this app is an important arpeggiator for iOS musicians, So justify a brand new thread to gather more information and provide a way to discuss some bugs and issues.
So when search on past thread into future, just type (without space)
'KirnuCreamMobile'
for easier references!
I don't see the update in the App Store. Do I have to delete the temp version you (developer) gave over the holidays and reinstall the purchased/originally downloaded version from the cloud?
Someone said he can not see in U.S. store on FB.
However, I just bought it on international store today, I think it will be there soon!
It's in the UK store I downloaded and it replaced the beta TestFlight version. This really needs Link now.....
Just asking...Why that limitation of patterns for tracks (up to 12)?
It´s not just an arp or stepseq. It is more than the sum of its functions.
It is ... cream.
If i am not mistaken the desktop version also has 12 patterns.
I don´t know why that is. But i never need more than 3-4 patterns per session. The controls are too fiddly for a secure live performance.
I just record the output of a session into a DAW and move on.
Already my favorite app of of the year 2015 AND 2016
@Kirnu,
Hi Arto,
Thank you for developing iPad version of Cream Mobile.
When following the Arpeggio on note count, there seems a hard time for Cream Mobile to release the internal keyboeard key touch with internal synth (I have 4 tracks IAP). The buggy one tone sound continuing without off even the keyboard color has been released and disappeared. I do not know those are bugs or something I don't know about if 'start note count' is more than 1 (ie. 2 or 4 counts).
In addition to the above, if I design a key range C2-C3 with 1 count only, my base note on D3, Cream should ignore any key I pressed above C3. However, I have to pressing the 'hold' button to play around for the sake of releasing the hold button on Cream to release those out of range 'key start'.
All of these are some annoying little thingies.
General speaking, this is quite stable, so I hope everyone can join and enjoy the Cream.
iOS 9.2 Air2
Thanks in advance to expect your feedback!
1.01 was live in US store yesterday, I did have to delete demo, and then do fresh store download, rather than "update"...
Well, actually it makes sense.
I asked about link and IAA at the end of Dec on their forums - Arto said
"I can't say for sure but I think I'll implement Ableton link at some point.
IAA is coming sooner though.
-Arto"
Il looks like instant buy, but I need first to know how it will performs on iPad4. Even better, how it will performs with more than one tracks at time.
Pleased to hear about this. Looking forward to tips and tricks, as ever.
That's good to hear. And I wish that Au will be added to the list too as I can see myself using this mainly via virtual midi and AU if that happens...
If I was a developer I would jump on the Link ship straight away. I insta-bought all the remaining Link apps I didn't already have JUST because they are Link supported.
I deleted the temp version and went into my purchases, in the app store, and CreamMobile 1.01 was there.
Sending out to virtual synth on iPad do you need to use a external controller keys to play as it greys out its own keyboard?
I got the update, runs MUCH better for me. Love it as a MIDI arpeggiator!
@Jumpercollins it only greys out the live keyboard if you set an external source, if you set destinations only it stays on.
Cheers getting there now !

sorry folks , I've been trying to get demo/tutorial video together but having various problems , with equipment ,formats, knowledge etc.
The attached is a failed test attempt ,no talkover,at playing through the "Etude" preset which I contributed . to give an idea of what is possible and try to show a little of what is happening .
Unfortunately AirServer recorder has the audio out of sync with the visuals ( just one of the problems).
Anyway,
3 tracks are playing internal synths:
track 1 is bass, track2 are bouncy chords, track3 is a portamento lead .
4 chords are programmed in ChordMemory Slots , with each pattern in each track being a bar of each chord , so in ChordMem Lane patt1 = chord 1, patt2 =chord 2 , patt3=chord3, patt4 =chord4 , but each Track has a couple of variations (patts5,6) the second time round to make an 8 bar cycle.
The purpose of the etude was to study different Rates between different patterns and tracks so each patttern in each track is playing at a different Rate 1/4 , 1/8 ,1/16 1/8T, 1/32 etc .this also affects the length of each pattern.
Each Track has its own Pattern sequencer (bottom right),which I show at the end after showing each track's Order, Chordmem and Seq (for chords) lanes .this determines the order , & repeats of the patterns as well as the length , which overrides pattern length.
Because all tracks are using the ChordMem , which are triggered by C2 basenote , and all tracks have input note range set to C2 , playing C2 on the onscreen keyboard triggers ALL Pattern sequencers simultaneously.
those with the app can study the preset further . hope this is in someway useful to somebody .
@WaveMachineLabs ,
Hi, Rim
I am testing Cream Mobile at this moment, for this conversation, I remember when I was showing @Matt_Fletcher_2000 about running StepPolyArp on Auria channel 1, He was surprised by my doing both in and out in one channel to record one bar note to become multiple changing notes melody.
That method doesn't and can't apply to Kirnu Cream Mobile! I ask help and end up using @Wally method (Wally method link is on top of this thread) by utilizing two tracks on one channel method. His method require to untick the 'send midi song position pointer' which shown on the photo below.
The problem occurred to me, because Auria Pro has a inner mechanism which stop the sound send by/from 'CreamMobile' at looping end of first round, The loop pointer will do continuously looping, till the end of second run, where at the beginning 3rd round, the CreamMobile begin refresh back it's arpeggiation sound, I have many and many different runs with One, Twin2, and Lyra. I can confirm this finding.
First, It is something obvious there is a always 'sound stopping' at end of first run. Rim, can you check why this situations happen (I am using both beta 2.03, or normal releasing one).
Second, Is there a way to have to route Cream Mobile with only one track method for recording it's notes back to Auria, or any better and user friendly method to this regard?
Device:Air2 iOS9.2
Thank you,
Kai
Thanks @Wally
@JiggyWig hope useful
@Kaikoo this was what I meant when I said there were problems with Auria midi Loop record , apparently its on the feature request list when the bugs are fixed .
I tried with beta 2.03 released from yesterday, at no avail now.
@Wally,
Very nice! So cute the sound. Cream mobile has quite different taste apart from other arps, the sound patterns quite representative for what Cream Mobile doing for.
Look at this midi datum, it is made by Cream Mobile!
There is a way to do with only one track recording to Auria DAW! It sounds fantastic!
@Kirnu,
Hi Arto,
After two days playing, I found a strange thing, I don't say it is a bug or not. There is a strange pattern jump to Pattern4 no matters what pattern number I choose manually, it always have a sudden jump and stay to number 4. For simple using, it is not apparent to users, but if doing complex 3 apps connection (a synth, a sequencer, and Cream Mobile), this problem did occurred on my two different and correct setups. Please, have a test for CM.
Thank you!
@Kaikoo please explain your new Auria setup
re; patt4 jump , C1-C2 input notes change patterns , are you playing Eb1 somehow ?
(from the photo the Patternsequencer bottom right is OFF , but FTR that can also change patterns if on)
Ok, @Wally, you save me again, I see the reason why I have patterns jump!
Thank you!
Interesting. Is that true even when C1-C2 (or superset) is set as the input range?
