  • Sorta like you noticed, this is a basic tenet of looping—having nothing to do with this app. I first got that advice 487 years ago on the Looper's Delight listserv. Made all the difference in the world. When you see people nailing loops adhoc like that, they've either practiced what you're seeing a lot, have been looping for a long while and/or have the timing of Steward Copeland.

I can't get it to work( as an output) without being sent through audiobus first. is there a way for you to collaborate with AUM maybe, so that you can use loopersonic as an output, all within AUM?

I went ahead and got AUM. It's pretty cool.

AudioBus is set up a little more intuitively than the IAA API allows for. With inter-app audio you can only publish your output to other apps. So there is no selecting outputs per se. You have to go to the app you want to output to, and select the app you want input from. Unless I'm mistaken, picking an input is the only way IAA makes connections.

If you want to select an app as an input to AUM you pick it within AUM.
If you want to select an app as an output from AUM, you have to select one of AUM's ports from within that app.

So to send to LooperSonic, open LooperSonic, tap the 1/4 jack icon on the screen to the right, then select Kymatica: AUM(Port 1-4) and you're off to the races.

    thanks, that helps a lot!!

  • I LOVE this app.

    First, because its universal.

Second, the developer is awesome and ultra responsive.

My major use for the app is this.

If I am working on a song and need to make a quick loop/clip/stem via a "mash up" method.

I also use it if I am assembling samples of drum hits making a loop. Mainly on IPhone when I don't have a DAW to use.

I like the app a whole lot.

  • Anyone else really anticipating the next update for Loopersonic? I love this app. The dev has been really responsige so far and apparently has big plans for this app. However, it's been rather quiet lately. Any news on the upcoming update?

  • @Maarten Things have been quiet because a contract I took (non-music app) is talking all of my development time. I do have some big plans, but my best guess is early August to get started on them.

I just got this. Very nice little looper. :)

I hope you can work on the improvements soon! But, I know the contract is important as well. Prob. a bit more of the income for you .

  • I don't see a way to select which input to use from my interface.

  • wish you could run multiple apps within loopersonic similar to the way aum or audiobus works. it gets tricky to get a good flow bouncin round from app-to-app.
