  • Yes I'm definitely tickled...

  • Wow, that would be nice. I manually split-tempo'd drum tracks on one of my early recordings in GB and it was a PITA, but it ended up working out okay.

  • Sounds incredible!

  • Yeah, that's about what I figured. Lacking in the drum sequencing/control department.

  • So one and a half years later, what's the situation? Is there any other candidate that gets close to meeting the list of requirements? Looks like Drum Session hasn't been finished and I can't seem to find drumfire on the App Store either. So is both vapourware? Also nothing new coming from Intua or BlipInteractive so far. What are they all waiting for? Drum jam still doesn't allow custom kits and thumbjam seems to be clumsy to build your own drums as well. For my needs nanostudio seems to be the best solution at the moment for use on iPhone and playing live through a controller into loopy. DM1 is a mess as well with midi learn not working... And Beat Machine is too limited and resource hungry.

  • Drum Perfect!

  • Right, I do have that. But for my needs it has to work on the phone too.

  • Drum Perfect is nice but for me the UI needs a major change. Specially for non-drummers like me. I wish there was a way to select views like expert and noob view. I like how Stochastik has a neat simple view.

Has anyone checked out Jamtix virtual drummer on the PC. This is a true Drummer simulator with real virtual drummer profiles.
Now if we had that on IOS that would be the ultimate drum app!

  • For me right now, Rock Drum Machine gives me most what I need. I had heard months ago that an ios version of Jamstix was being developed, but not heard anything since.

  • Yup, rock drum machine for me as of now also. Still waiting to see what session drums for ios will be when it comes out soon hopefully!

And Tritonman2, thnks for your imput.

Just checked out RDM and I think I am going to get this one man. I really wish they had a special going now for this weekend. Trying to make the most out of my gift card. :)

I am also thinking of geetting the EasyBeats 3 app. It looks really nice and i downloaded the lite version. So far it seems really fun to use also and as the name says, it was pretty easy.

  • After reading the wish list for the 'Perfect' dream drum machine, I think we are way off as yet, don't think anything like this exist's in single plugin/program form as yet on the desktop, kinda of like WaveDNA meets BFD meets Geist. wOw. My favourites on iOS are, in three apps, Real Drums - DrumPerfect, Synth Drums - SeekBeats, and for Loops - Sector.
